I was in the store the other day. And i noticed the manager or so he said to the patron he was, well he was very rude and very unproffessional if you ask me. He was telling the young man that he wasnt going to take his credit card because well at first he lied and said the the market wasnt accepting credit cards, and the patron told the manger the other customer just used their card then the mgr said they only accepted credit and debit cards from REGULAR CUSTOMERS ONLY! But he didnt say it, he yelled it at the customer. I was shocked. The customer then was upset and left. I didnt think that was in any way right to handle that situation. I felt like the manager or so he said he was for 7 years, was being very stereotypical cause the customer had been a young latino, tattoos, hat, and has his friend with him. So after i seen that i made my decision to shop somewhere else. It doesnt matter what race or how you dress or if you just look the part you should look you SHOULD NOT BE TREATED WRONG or Judged. Especially by an employee at JJ's Market. I hope they take this review to heart. And realize that no matter how long you work there or if you know every customer that goes there, that gives you no right to talk or be rude to someone. Well hopefully this...

I live about a mile away and because I am one of those people who is relatively well off but close with their money, I typically shop in town. But I find more and more that this smaller store often has more selection than Aldi for example. And while Aldi might have more of a particular product on the shelf, many times they don't. And I haven't found a problem with expired shelf life at JJ's. Overall I find myself shopping there more and more because it saves me auto expense and also my time. The people are always helpful and, yes, you pay a bit more but I have found it is generally worth it. signed: Terry, an almost 80 year old AG Mesa dude
I moved to Nipomo and now am from 81 years old. But when I went there today they were very helpful. without asking, two different people directed me to two items I couldn't find at other stores. One was white miso paste. Not a real common item. The other was simply Worcestershire sauce. Not only did they have white miso paste. They also had red miso paste. They didn't have the only other type which is yellow. But I can't fault them for such a rare item that is probably very rarely used or even...
Read moreA pleasant upscale local deli/ grocery who does stand out. Worth a special trip for eats from the deli. Excellent local wine selection. Cute place with nice service. Locally run. Some local selections. Likely caters to many of the more exclusive more coast areas in either AG or Nipomo that are close to Hwy #1. It is rather unique in that it is likely one of the only full service non-ethic supermarkets that are directly on the 1 for quite a few miles. A good place to stock up on wines if you are cruising the 1 rather than the 101. The next stop for groceries on the 1, is...
