Food Lion — Local services in Asheboro

This place is ridiculous. I talked to the store manager tonight about 8:10 PM and he told me that he doesn’t have his cashiers to get MVP cards for people to help them if they don’t ask about it if they forget about it it’s tough luck they just miss out on the savings. My daughter came up there and bought some stuff today and didn’t know anything about the MVP and the cashiers does not educate anybody. I accidentally called the one on 64 first and talk to a wonderful lady out there that has really wonderful management skills. Her name is Beckyand she told me all of her cashiers are trained to use MVPs automatically to help people get their discounts, because if not, what’s the point of going to Food Lion we might as well go to Lowe’s food they definitely do the same thing there and not to mention Walmart is cheaper on a lot of things anyways, but we choose to go to Food Lion to get in and out faster but if their customer service is going to be like that and they’re not gonna help our kids when we send them to the store then what the point if we’ve got to backtrack to go back to the store to get it all rained up for nothing What is the point of doing all of that and shopping at Food Lion to be loyal? Great grocery store, come here all the time to get my groceries, great selection of stuff and the staff are always friendly!

But ill tell the story of my recent experience here:

I walked into the Food Lion grocery store, ready to pick up some groceries for the week. As I made my way through the aisles, I couldn't help but feel like someone was watching me. I tried to ignore it and focus on the task at hand, but the feeling grew stronger and more overwhelming. I reached the checkout line and quickly grabbed my items, eager to get out of there. As I walked back to my car, I couldn't shake the feeling that the store had intentionally made the experience unpleasant for me. It was almost as if they were trying to discourage me from ever coming back. But despite the crowded aisles and strange odors, I found myself drawn back to Food Lion week after week. My wife and I placed our grocery order yesterday. We are planning on having a get together and we really needed food for the next day because we had guest arriving that day, I was all going according to plan my wife had a few things to pick up in town and pick up dinner when she gets a notification saying that her order had been canceled She tried to call the grocery store, but there was no answer by this time my wife and Son were Tired she received a notification that said that it would be ready in the next day His whole experience has left a very bitter taste in my family’s mouth.
