7-31-25 update... below
2/28/2024 update: definitely a good breakfast nook. Good selection, reasonable prices, prompt pleasant service this morning. Interesting motorcycle shop and decor in the back of the restaurant. Nice restsurant decor with rock walls. Corn beef hash today which was good. For this time of year, the tomatoes were amazing. Definitely a 4.4 this morning.
1/31/2024 - update: definitely a greay experience today. Waitress was nice. Food promptly served. 1st time I have had a cheeseburger casserole. It was good. Definitely picked up my impression. A solid 4 for a lunch diner. Reasonably pricef too./////
3-14-25. Video UPDATE! So my experience has been a lot better and I eat here regularly. It's probably my favorite Hometown spot anymore. Prices are reasonable. As noted in previous posts you need to be here by 1:30 for sure. Because when they say they close at 2 they mean it. And I can't blame them because they'll serve you at 6:00 a.m. I didn't know that before. Definitely a 4.4 for me. A really good Hometown restaurant! 5/1/2025 - cabbage casserole is terrific. Fried squash is home breaded. Hamburger steak is uncommonly good!
7/31/25 there is nowhere else in the world, for less than $5.50 you can get 4 homestyle vegetables. I got tenderloin biscuit this morning and I love tenderloin when it's cooked right and not breaded. And they do it perfect here. And I love Hometown tomatoes and they're great. Coffee is always fresh and hot. This is the place to come if you're a local guy. And you will love the experience. Don't judge it on your first five trees. Once they get to know you and you get to know them, this will be your favorite spot in Asheboro. It is mine. At least a 2 or 3 times a week go to. By the way if you like fresh cold cucumber salad. They only serve it in the summer but it is terrific. Since it's my favorite place - they got to get a...
Read moreI've been looking for a place that cooks like home for six years. This morning I found the place!! The food was priced reasonably and we left full. Our hasbrowns were not greasy. I loved how fresh everything was. The peppers, tomatoes, and onions in the omelet were fresh and you could taste it. Plenty of meat in it as well. I wish I could go every day! If you like motorcycles they even have a nice motorcycle museum. Even if your not a fan of motorcycles... come in and sit at a table and enjoy! The staff was also very nice, attentive, and even fun. You will not be...
Read moreI love this place! 'Heritage' is very fitting for this good old down to earth American style kitchen and Harley-Davidson motorcycle museum. As an Artist myself it's great to see the owner's Artwork displayed and mixed in with the rest of the decor. The place has a great atmosphere with many interesting conversation pieces and clean open are dining. Oh, and they have a great and knowledgeable service and parts department for your Harley as well! The Heritage Diner is certainly amongst the many gems in Asheboro. Even if you're not hungry it's a great...
