A breeder of Papillons at this Salon EDWINA MINTZ (selling those puppies out of this salon) let us choose a puppy when she was 1 month old. We chose her, named her and were planning on having her as part of our family. When we returned 7 weeks later to pick her up she had sold the puppy we picked and showed us a vastly different looking puppy. She said she "mistook the two dogs." You breed dogs for a living. How do you not recognize two dogs that look completely different in the face. I cannot imagine how this was an "honest" mistake as you claim. Your carelessness had and has devastating consequences. We have reported your bad business practices to the Papillon Club of America and to the AKC, and are pursing all available action to prevent another dog owner and lover from ever going through the turmoil you caused. Almost as bad as selling the puppy you let us choose (and you saw us choose her and you had photos and a video of her so you couldn't mistake a puppy who looks different form the rest) you didn't do ANYTHING to make up for your horrible mistake. I truly don't know how someone lives with themselves after doing this to people who travelled and stayed overnight 3 times to pick a puppy from your salon. EDWINA MINTZ is not a reputable person, communicates incredibly poorly (requires 3-4 calls to return one), and lets you choose a puppy only to sell it to someone else. If you are that busy that you can't communicate, can't return calls and can't recognize your own distinctive puppy that you bred, you should not be in any dog related business, especially breeding. I would not recommend anyone do business with this establishment because what I wrote above is exactly what occurred from this...
Read moreAfter Hurricane Helene destroyed my previous groomer's building, I booked an appointment with a new groomer, Edwina "Winnie." Unfortunately, I was highly dissatisfied with her service. She mishandled my dog, leaving his ear with dried blood and an infection. When I confronted her, she refused to take responsibility. I promptly sent the vet bill to the owner and clarified that I expected her to take accountability. I let her know that if she does that, I will update my review, but if not, I will strongly advise others to seek grooming services elsewhere. The Vet stated it "appeared the groomer nicked my dog's ear and left it untreated and compounded wax inside, causing an infection" requiring antibiotics. My dog went in for a hair cut and ended up with...
