Only giving 2 stars because my boyfriend said his experience at Bohland was great, and the woman he worked with to find the perfect ring for me (Wendy) was extremely helpful. He proposed to me in the middle of the sky bridge in Gatlinburg, it was amazing! Unfortunately, the ring didn’t fit. He ordered my ring size, size 9, but when he went back in to pick it up, he was given a size 7. We know it was specifically noted as size 9 because as soon as we got home from Gatlinburg we took it in immediately the next day to be resized. Another woman working seen the size 9 noted in the computer. The resizing process was fast and efficient, I of course wanted it back asap because I wanted to show it off, I’m marrying my best friend! We dropped it off at 10am and had it back by 2:30pm the same day. I know people make mistakes, but I would just think when he paid almost 14k in cash, and the fact engagements are such special amazing moments, she would’ve double checked the size of the ring before sending it with him. I don’t care if the ring was $1,000, I would think that is a huge protocol for something so special and important. It was honestly embarrassing for both of us that I couldn’t even put the ring on. But I was so excited and embarrassed at the same time, I tried to push it on anyways, until my finger turned purple and we could barely remove it, I was in excruciating pain and panic while one of his friends tried to do so. I know I’m not the only person this has ever happened to, and I’m so thankful I am marrying my best friend, but I hope the owner or manager at Bohland stresses how important this is. This wasn’t just some buying a shirt from a retail store experience...this process is an engagement and commitment to someone for the rest of your life experience, please recheck...

We've been customers of Bohland Jeweler's since We relocated here to Ashland for my job in 1998. The staff over the years has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to assist us, whether being a new purchase, a repair, appraisals, or simply a watch battery replacement. The exceptional service was always there, no matter the $$ involved in the transaction.

Once again, when we were there today to pick up items we dropped off, one of the items was a ring I purchased in another state for my wife that was being appraised. It was a significant upgrade from her original engagement ring, as it was what I could afford at the time. Her diamond fell out of her original wedding set, which is being reset. I offered my wife, since it had to be repaired, I'd buy her a larger diamond. She is sentimental, and wanted it repaired with her original stone. HOWEVER, she said maybe I'll keep that, and put it away, and get another wedding band to go with the larger diamond ring I bought her for her upgrade, and make myself a new wedding set.

Here again, the staff was patient, took their time, showed her options, as the larger diamond crown height, had to have complimentary ring of the right style and height so they looked good together. She found my wife the perfect ring, and I must admit, they are stunning together. SOLD!!! Now resizing, and soldering. Thanks again to our sales associate, she was AWESOME!!! Bohland’s Jewelers is quite literally the best jeweler my wife and I have ever dealt with and we have used several. We used to live in Ashland and not until we moved out of state did we understand how awesome it is to have a great jeweler. The box stores do not care about you as a client anywhere close to Bohland’s.

We have bought several rings there. We had an emerald replaced with an excellent quality stone. When I contacted Collin that we had lost the stone (on a ring they didn’t sell) He said “sure I can find you a replacement.” I sent him what the ring looked like before the stone went missing and to be honest, it came back better than before.

We loved having people like Leslie, Collin, and. Christian to help make the jewelry we needed made, or to show us options. They know the jewelry business. Now we drive 6 hours to visit when we are in the market for something new. Do yourself a favor and stop in, you won’t be disappointed. We love this family owned and operated business and won’t buy anything elsewhere. 5 🌟s isn’t enough. Thank you Bohland’s for all you have...
