The first time I went to a Ashville Dental Center the hygienist was absolutely wonderful. I’ve never had a better cleaning, but since then I have not had the same hygienist the last four times and have not been very pleased at all. Had gone somewhere else, but it was a little bit of a drive so I decided to go back to the Ashville dental and give it another shot. They took me right back very quickly and once I got back there, they told me that I needed full mouth x-rays. I told her I did not want x-rays I just wanted a cleaning and that was it the hygienist told me that it was a law that they had to take x-rays before they can do anything to my mouth. She told me that I would have to talk to the dentist after sitting there for 15 minutes. I just got up and went to the front desk where she was on the phone and have been on the phone ever since she left me I basically told her that since it was a law, there was no need for me to wait for a dentist to also tell me that he cannot have my teeth cleaned unless he took x-rays. I went home and I called three different dentist places and I asked them if they could just clean my teeth. All three places said yes all three places said they do recommend getting x-rays but they would go ahead and clean them. Needless to say, I won’t be back even though it is close to my house. I don’t know if it’s a law or not but all the other places would clean my teeth without having me to take a full mouth x-rays. I was told by other people that it was not a law. It was just a recommendation. I’m not a dentist, so I don’t know if it is or not, but I do intend to find out. I’m not having any trouble with my teeth and I do real good cleaning on my teeth when I brush. I do find it a little hard to believe that there are so many fives out there. I highly recommend going to a dentist that offers pain medication with oral surgery, i suffered for 48 hours in horrible pain , after my first extraction had bad infection before the extraction, which he gave me antibiotics for ,,, I asked for antibiotics.. again Right after he removed the infected root The Dr. Declined …. Stated it would drain … it did not I asked for pain medication the young so sweet assistant then LIED claming The Dr only gives ibuprofen which with my bleeding ulcer I can’t take ! They then sent me home after he removed my very abscess tooth . Then my mouth swelled and hurt the infection spread and hurt I couldn’t sleep forget eat … finally after 2 days I could take it anymore… so I called they had me come right in …. Guess who gives pain meds ???? The butcher does guess who then decided to come off some antibiotics.. He did …. It’s my experience Birds of a feather flock together… So yes very nice staff … now wait the story only gets better … two days ago where the tooth was removed…. Has swollen up has hard knot where He left some a huge chunk of tooth behind now swollen.. painful again …. Words can’t say how upset I am over this !!!! Paid cash btw … also recommended going to a dentist who cares enough to actually listen to his patients…… I was concerned about infection he disregarded me and the knowledge of my own body leaving me to suffer for two long days and nights !!! Thank everyone at Ashville Dental for being so very kind and precious to me. My first visit to Ashville Dental this year was the greatest appointment I have ever had with a Dentist. They told me just what I needed done. They helped me with the care credit program that could help with the payment process. At my second appointment I had a procedure done on my top front teeth that gave me back my beautiful smile. I broke down in tears when they gave me a mirror to see what they had done to correct my teeth. I had been without a smile for so long it shocked me when I saw my beautiful smile had came back to me. 4 appointments later and I can see just how important I am to Ashville Dental because they gave me back my beautiful precious smile I had lost so long ago.
