Hamburger and Fries at the Two Sisters Homestyle Cafe Nestled in the heart of small town Ashville, AL 35953, the Two Sisters Homestyle Cafe has mastered the art of crafting the perfect hamburger and fries duo, and my recent visit left me utterly impressed. From the exceptional flavors and quick service, this charming cafe offers a dining experience that feels like a warm hug for your taste buds. The moment I stepped into the Cozy Country Cafe, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly cooked food and the friendly smiles of the staff. The rustic decor and comfortable seating created a relaxed and homey vibe that instantly put me at ease. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, chat with friends, or simply enjoy your meal in peace. The star of the show for ME, undoubtedly, was the hamburger. The menu offered a variety of options, from classic beef burgers to mouthwatering chicken and veggie alternatives. I opted for their signature "Burger and fries," and I can confidently say it was a revelation. The beef patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and bursting with flavor. The toppings were thoughtfully selected — crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a tangy sauce that tied everything together. The bun was lightly toasted, providing a delightful contrast to the tenderness of the patty. The fries that accompanied the burger was a revelation in itself. These weren't just ordinary fries; they were crisp, crinkle-cut, fries that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The seasoning was a well-balanced blend of salt and herbs, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them. The fries were served piping hot, a testament to their freshness and dedication to quality. The staff at the Cozy Country Cafe went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their attentiveness and genuine friendliness added to the overall charm of the cafe. From offering recommendations to promptly refilling drinks, the service was impeccable and personalized. The Two Sisters, Lisa and Betty actually were in house and came by to sit and visit for a minute! Totally Loved seeing the magic behind the scenes. Congratulations on finding the winning combination! In a world where fast food chains dominate, the Two Sisters Homestyle Cafe stands as a testament to the magic that happens when dedication, passion, and quality ingredients come together. Their homestyle food not only satisfies your hunger but also evokes a sense of nostalgia and comfort. If you find yourself in this small town, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this gem of a cafe — you won't be...
Read moreI've been wanting to stop by Two Sisters for quite a while. Drive by all the time and just never had a chance to try it. Went in to order a cheeseburger and fries. Placed the order was about $9, which was a great price. Was also told it would be a twenty minute wait, which turned into 30. Now, the seating was very limited, so I did not want to take up a seat for 20 minutes just waiting. So I waited in my truck. When I went back in after twenty minutes, I waited another ten just standing by the counter. Now, I must say, the cheeseburger was freaking awesome! I loved the bun, which is important! It was soft and not overpowering! And the beef was cooked perfectly! Wasn't overcooked, wasn't undercooked, it was just right and juicy and crispy at the same time! Boom! Added pickles and tomato and fresh diced onions and man, great sandwich! The fries were ok. Nothing special, just a cheap KK 3/8". Lots of smalls. If ya went with a better fry, you would get more long fries, and you can use less weight, and it looks like more fries! Try it with coated fry. People will go nuts! They had a special board with some interesting dishes on it, so I will probably try it again, eat in, and grab a chicken fried steak! Plenty of parking, but if y'all are eating inside, either get there early for lunch or call ahead and...
Read moreSaw an ad for Two Sisters in one or two of the the throwaways one can find outside a restaurant or in an establishment. My former partner in my surgical practice and I get together a couple times a month and look for places to eat we had not experienced before. The ad looked interesting with home cooked meals and veggies being offered and it was eye catching. We headed there for lunch today, he from Birmingham and myself from Ohatchee. He found it, I drove right by it, a small red painted metal building. Anyway , easy to miss. Now the food. Two elderly ladies taking care of the clientele ( I assume they were the two sisters) consisting of a couple full tables of late lunch Ashvillians. Service was prompt and friendly. Menu for lunch was a choice of three meats and at least eight different vegetables. Between the two of us we had a fried chicken breast, turnip greens, deviled eggs, potato salad and fried okra and peach cobbler for dessert. Everything was prepared properly and we enjoyed our meal quite a bit. Lunch menu changes daily and they do have burgers , catfish , chicken etc. I'd go back . Just won't drive by...
