We have visited Highlands Village in the winter, spring, and summer now. The village area is very nice but a little sleepy in the spring and summer time. There are a few shops in the village but only one or two were open during the summer. Both restaurants, plus a coffee shop at the base, are great and operate year round. If you’re going to the Maroon Bells! Take the local bus from 8th st or 4th st. Plenty of st parking and its free! Take the Maroon creek bus to the Highlands! Stop crying about the parking price you are in Aspen. Deal with it if you want convenience.

We went with my 4months old. Found a parking in 4th st. Took the bus with 4stops to highlands ...
