Sorry this is a long one. I had a MRI done here, and my insurance only covered some of it. So I decided to do a payment plan which I thought was great! When I encountered the billing/ financial services department the nightmare began. I called multiple times and left multiple messages, never got a call back. But I figured this was happening because it was the being of COVID lock down, so it will get figured out. Then I got a letter, after a month of trying to get a hold of them every other day, saying my bill is going to collections. Moment of panic, what? I redouble my efforts to get a hold of them. I finally get a hold of the department, only to get the rudest person, telling me she hope my card gets declined so that I do have to go to collections. I had been kind, and had given the hospital the benefit of doubt the whole time, I was not a Karen. But when that rudeness happened I did ask to speak to someone else so that I didn't go off on this lady, or you know maybe I can just be treated like a person, when discussing money. She said she didn't know how to transfer me since she was working from home. But it honestly sounded like an lame excuse and I wouldn't trust anything coming out of this lady's mouth. I did get a payment plan going. However I didn't think this was ok to be treated like this, I once again tried to call the finance dept, and kept getting asked to leave a message, which I did and I never got a call back.
I thought the medical staff was great, but if you don't have the money to pay upfront and have to deal with their finance department then I sincerely hope you don't have to deal with the witch of an agent. If I could give it negative stars I would. Would not recommend...
Read moreThis hospital is not affordable or fair. There was only one nurse who took a real concern in me after hearing I had a misdiagnosed image for breast cancer. I was told I could get a biopsy the next day for 7k— I felt hopeless as I didn’t know of real and affordable options. Only one nurse cared. She took the diligence to seek out affordable options. She found me an imaging center in Denver which did it for 600.00. It took a week to find the right place and then they couldn’t take me in for 2.5 months— I wondered if I had cancer for this entire time while in a stress response. This one nurse does not represent the entire staff. She is an angel all unto her own.
I’ve had other experiences there, where the doctor egoically referred to himself by his last name as “hero dr. Blah blah blah.” Before that, the nurse told me I would absolutely have to get my tonsils removed, as if I had no other option. They were both power driven in dominance and I didn’t feel like I received the care I deserved but mostly two people seeking validation for their...
Read moreMy visit with the cardiologist went well. My 3 stars is because of a medical bill. I received 2 bills recently. One around $760 for my cardiologist appointment and one for around $1600 for lab work. I had a high deductible plan, and this was shocking. I paid the $760 bill in full online.
I decided to pay the other bill in person on 7/7/25 (the day this is referencing). The person at registration was friendly and helpful. I asked if you offer discounts when someone pays in full (cash) as some hospitals will give up to a 50% discount. I was told I could receive a 20% discount if I pay in full today, and it didn’t matter if it was cash or card.
I am appreciative of the discount and paid. My frustration is that I had to ask and was not offered or given the opportunity to receive a discount for the first bill or around $760 I paid in full. Had I known I could receive a 20% discount by paying in full in person, I would have. I would like to be reimbursed my 20% for that...
