Quilter's Cupboard — Local services in Atascadero

Quiters Cupboard is a wonderful little locally owned store. They have an excellent selection of beautiful, high quality fabrics. But what really makes them the best is their customer service. I've sewn all my life, but had never quilted. I wanted to try making a quilt for my new grand baby. The ladies at the shop were very helpful and patient while I took hours choosing just the right colors, patterns and fabrics. I purchased most of the fabric for the quilt at Quilters Cupboard. Though, I did buy a few from other stores. The quilt is now finished except for the binding. I finally decided which fabric to use for the binding and called the Quilters Cupboard to see if they had it. The lady I spoke with said it didn't sound familiar, then gave me her personal number to text her a photo. She quickly answered that she was sorry, but it wasn't from their store. That alone would have been great customer service. But, then she sends me another text saying, that she looked it up and gave me the name of the store that does carry it!. Wow, just WOW! Best customer service ever! I might have to make another quilt just so I can do more...

Great selection of fabrics! Unfortunatly I did not stay long as I felt uncomfortable as they were only practicing social distancing outside, with tape for sis feet distance in the line. When it was my turn to go in, I was greeted at the door by an employee (owner??) who was not wearing a mask, getting in my face as she opened the door, and told me I did not need to wear a mask if I did not want to. I will not be back to a business that does not care about the safety of their employees...

Cris and the team at Quilter's Cupboard are friendly, helpful, and ready to share ideas on how to approach projects. They are all experienced quilters. You might want to stop in just to see the color wall! There is an amazing selection of fabrics, patterns, and books. I have attended classes and appreciate the community and friendships. If you have time for only one stop in San Luis Obispo County...
