I can usually find what I'm looking for at the Hull location, but the place is always cluttered with carts that are stacked with product, and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned/mopped/wiped down/dusted in months. The cleanest part of that store is the front counter where the registers are. There's usually only ever one person there, and they are usually working the register. I've seen how busy the place can get, there is absolutely no time for that single employee to stock product and run the register. That location needs more staff. I've only ever seen someone stocking product one time in the refrigerated section, and that was probably because they couldn't just leave the cart on the floor filled with product that would go bad. I'm not knocking on the employees at all, they are always friendly and if they aren't helping someone at the register they will greet you when you walk in the door. And they are always pleasant when they speak with you at the register. The manager just needs to either schedule or hire more people to work during the day to get that location cleaned up. We're in the middle of a pandemic, the last place some people want to shop is a place that looks like it hasn't had a good deep clean in months. Hire or schedule more staff to get the place cleaned up. It isn't that hard to bring in a crew from another couple of stores to do an...
Read moreThis place is great. You know those restaurants where the staff is rude or apathetic about you being there (Dick's Last Resort?)? This is like a dollar store version of that! Often times, there is a man with a dirty costume wig sitting out front doing nothing, I know he doesn't acknowledge anybody, but he works there, trust me! The store is typical for a dollar store environment; dirty floors, half stocked yet somehow crowded, customers that looked like they just rolled out of the goat pen or wearing weird bags on their head. The checkout experience is where it's at though. Yes, I know there's a self checkout there, but they all had to close those down! (Remember those dirty customers?) I guess they were losing too much to theft. It's hilarious, 90% of the time, no one is at the register, so you have to stand there until someone notices you. On the off chance someone is already there, they'll be sure to be on the phone so as to make their job and you seem of no consequence. Overall, an amusing unique experience! Great...
Read moreVERY UNORGANIZED. There is junk, trash, boxes, and merchandise EVERYWHERE. I feel like I'm going insane before I get past the first three aisles. I can go to the dollar general in Colbert, Ila, or Danielsville, and be in and out in a minute or two. At this location, it takes FOREVER because stuff is in the ways of walking (such as empty broken down boxes that were just left sitting there, trash, and clothes and merchandise left on the floor and not picked up) and even when you get to what your looking for, half of the time you never know if the price where it is is right or not. On top of that, employees are aweful. Last time, the girls friend was in line before me, and she as laughing and having fun. Then with me and everyone after, she was short-sentenced, rude, demanding, and acted like we were the reason she hated...
