Bargain Barn — Local services in Athens

The entrance for trucks is on Northridge Drive. The 13'4" low bridge marker listed on Trucker Path is in the wrong location. It's actually the railroad bridge about 3/4 of a mile past Northridge on 379.

People were nice. They unloaded quick once we got a dock. 2 hours after appointment to get dock. Yard sucks.

There's 15-20 semi's in a yard that's too small for 5-10 trucks. It's also a slippery pit, which can't be helped when it rains, but they could definitely fix all the massive pot holes in their parking lot. When we first arrived we parked in the driveway because there was somebody parked in the middle of the lot. That one truck made it impossible to park anywhere else. That's how small it is. They're closed on weekends, so I know they have time to drop gravel in their lot to fill all...

Not a very good place to work. The main boss plays favorites and hires all his family members and will take other employees positions and give them away to his family members. They also don’t pay very good and will work you to death if they can. Inside the warehouse there are cats that come in and use the bathroom and they just leave it. They also have so many mice there and don’t do nothing about it. In their break room they have bugs and barely do anything to get rid of them. The bathroom are disgusting. It’s a HORRIBLE PLACE to work and I don’t recommend shopping at UGO cause that’s where all the food goes from the warehouse where it’s...

Receiving staff stiffed me out of $50.00 in detention pay. Man manning front desk was very rude and unprofessional. Will never do business with this establishment in future nor will I use TQL brokerage again. Any owner op delivering to this place me mindful do not listen to staff when they tell you to go back to your truck and wait. Stay in receiving area until shipping staff take your paper work and acknowledge you are on time other wise they will keep you in a dock for several ours and attempt to skip on the...
