Dollar General — Local services in Athens

The old cashier with the mullet hair cut was the rudest employee I have ever encountered. I have no idea how she still has a job. There’s NO reason to ever treat your customers the way I was treated. If you don’t like your job find a new one. It’s not anyone else’s fault you hate your job. I had $31 on that debit card. My order was $36. That debit card was declined. I asked if the drinks weren’t 3/$15. “ONLY SPRITE!”. I even tried putting them back up so she wouldn’t be bothered after seeing she was in a horrible mood. I had 2, 12 packs of Sprite and 1, 12 pack of Fresca. I didn’t see it was only Sprite. I looked at the other cashier. She was looking at the ground. I’m sorry the other cashiers have to work around her. I can’t imagine what they go through with her. I know it’s not the end of the world losing a customer but think of how many she’s caused...

It is a joke for there 3 day sale. went to get Scott toilet paper when I asked the cashier if they had any he told me that they only had 4 the morning the sale started four packs buy one get one free a three day sale there's none in the store to be had .. you can't get a rain check .I think it's terrible !!! This is above average for Dollar General. I found everything I needed and wanted, even though I had never been there before. I even discovered an unexpected item that I bought, mace for my daughter. It was busy but they moved quickly. The cashiers were friendly and smiled. With the hiring crisis going on, Dollar General should really appreciate these ladies.
