Dollar General — Local services in Athens

I wish I can give this a zero star raiting, but that is not an option. I am avid coupon user and definitely go to Dollar general on Saturdays due to their digital coupons and $5 off of 25. There was a lady checking out in front of me was having issues with her coupons and she questioned the cashier about it He was just rude and not helpful to her at all. He was like yeah they attached so the lady paid for her purchase and walked out and started reviewing her receipt and then she came back in to get back into the store due to her coupons not attaching The cashier was not helpful and the lady asked for a refund put her out on back on the shelf and left.

So then it was my turn to check out and what do you know my coupons did not work as well nor did the $5 off of 25 attach. When I question the cashier about it his response were there's nothing I can do about either you make the purchase or you can leave. So I left. I will never come back to the DG in Brownsboro this guy was the most rudest person I've ever met. Zero...

If I could give this store a zero I would!!!! Veronda along with most every other employee there is rude!!!! They aren't any help at all and their store is so crowed with unpacked inventory at all times, that you can never walk in the isles and find what your looking for. And to top it off they aren't pet friendly!!!! I guess people are supposed to leave their fur babies in this Texas heat to die in their cars while it takes us a good 30 minutes to find the one thing we need but can't because of the cluttered store!!! No thanks!!! I will drive 15 to out of my way to a clean, pet...

Let me start by saying, the employees are helpful and friendly. That being said, it is apparent they NEED HELP!! They are obviously understaffed. Sometimes I have waited in line for 10-15 minutes behind a mile of people and one poor cashier.

The store is always a disaster area. Dirty floors, tons of boxed product that doesn't get stocked. The aisles are so narrowed with boxes it is sometimes impossible to pass through. Come on Dollar General corporate!! Get your act together. I will start driving 6 miles into Chandler to shop at...
