Not recommended at Atoka TN or Covington TN.

I started my contract at the Atoka TN location when it was operated as APC Storage. I rent a unit and a parking space. They changed management to Mini Mall Storage since my time using storage. While I was away for several months, I received a call in October stating there had been some break ins and my car was possibly one that was stolen from. I was told they would take pics of the damage and get back with me. Still to this day I’ve had no return calls, pics or emails. I’ve called several times over the course of three months and sent emails requesting a response.

I could not return from out of state until this past weekend 1/28 in which I found that my catalytic converter had been stolen along with the gas in the vehicle.

I made a police report. The policeman stated they have not had the companies cooperation with any return calls or camera footage regarding others that had theft from their vehicles.

When I call I get put through to representatives that are not located within the state who all said they will personally send a message to the manager who is working only out of the Covington office. Still no responses. Today I asked for a contact of upper management or corporate offices that can further assist me. The representative gave me another number that dials the same automated response I receive when calling in anytime. No new option other than speaking with another representative.

It’s starting to feel like they know who stole the parts from vehicles and are hiding evidence or avoiding questions that may implicate them in the criminal police reports that have been filed.

Although my car is covered by insurance with a 500 deductible it will still cost me an out of pocket expense of 500.00. The insurance company will cover the other 484.00. Not to mention the out of pocket costs for a rental at 280.00. It has also cost me personal time as I requested off from my job to get this taken care of.

I do not recommend this facility to protect your belongings or communicate effectively. I will continue to pursue options to hold this facility accountable for their shortcomings as well.

Let me start with the price increase that I was not notified about. I rented for 8 months and then in December I tried calling to cancel and find out any details that I needed to be able to move out. It was at that time I was notified that their had been a almost $30 increase to my payment starting in November.. I was unable to reach anyone in office or higher management. I finally was able to get a call back on 1/5/24 and I was told I couldn't move out for 10 days per the lease, never mind the fact I had been trying to call since mid December to get those specific details and put my notice in. I was told to wait for a call back to see if their was a correction to the January payment, since I had been trying to call for almost 2 weeks prior, They told me someone would call me back that day 1/5/24. THEY NEVER DID. That Saturday I go to my unit to find my code has been locked out! The whole point of the return phone call was to get a balance for January since I would be moving. I was never able to get in touch with someone until I found a number for the call center. After 6 calls to the call center that Saturday. I had no choice per the call center to pay a full months rent bc they refused to take my request to move out in the month of December. Call center said they only did requests to cancel on the 20th of each month and then they said it was 10 days before move out. SO what was the process??? I did have a manager finally call me back on the 8th to discuss the facts regarding me being forced to pay a full months rent bc no one would take my request to move out. It is now the 24th and after multiple calls to the office I have never got a call back, a voicemail or even a text about resolving this issue. Funny how I tried to contact someone for 3 weeks to put a notice in but after the manager told me it never takes 3 weeks for a call back.. Here we are 3 weeks later no call back... Would not recommend them! I moved storages to a company in Covington and save $100 a month for the same size storage unit and a MUCH NICER company...

As with many of the reviews, this storage area used to be decent, then it changed hands and went down hill from there. Routine hikes in rent and limited access. More times than not, the gates don't work, sometimes only one (of the three) function which makes you wonder if you'll even be able to get your vehicle back out (if you can get in). There were times when the gates were just left wide open which allowed anyone to gain access to this storage area. I personally witnessed at least 2 vehicles just slowly driving around within the premises when I was there, obviously not current renters. Why were they there? Who knows but we pay for a secure storage area, not one open to everyone when they can't seem to get the gate operating properly. I rent a unit that is (currently) advertised at $225.00 a month, it is 300 square feet (10X30). That means it cost me more (square footage wise) to rent a concrete slab with metal walls and no lighting or ventilation then it would to pay the monthly mortgage payment on a a 2,800 square foot home. Trying to call them is, well, just don't, there is seldom anyone there to answer the phone, they won't return your call(s). They operate via one way communication. Usually, the "office" on site is unoccupied. I wouldn't address my issues with the people that work there anyway as they are just employees. Someone is laughing all the way to the bank. Count their occupied units, add all the monthly fees collected and you'll soon realize just how much money they are bringing in each month compared to their expenses.
