Worst experience with customer service I’ve ever experienced. Maybe people that live here are use to it, but I don’t even live here my family does I come to visit them often. I walk into the store and not a single hello, welcome to Johnson’s, not a single can I help you with anything while I look for my items. I just get these looks of disgust. Finally I get to a register and the realization hits me of why they act like they do here. No greeting of hello how are you today, did you find everything you needed?. Nothing just a look of why are you in my line. Oh yeah on the receipt her name is alexis and she was on register 3. She rings up my items very lazy just flinging my things to the bag boy. Afterwards im just standing there waiting for her to tell me my total like a normal cashier would, yeah not a word. She just stands there twiddling her thumbs. Never tells me my total I have to ask her how much is it?. She slightly then points at the screen, I pay my bill get my receipt and leave. No have a good day ,but as soon and the caucasian fellow steps up, it’s a great loud , how you doing today. I then step to a lady by the door who works in a different section who I explained my unhappiness to I hope she keeps her word and lets the manager know what happened. This company is really out here hiring people who are racist and unprofessional this isn’t the first time I have experienced so I know it when I see it. And as a service member this is highly unacceptable. Whatever happened to southern hospitality?. This review will be posted on every social platform. I hope some serious changes...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible! I used to work in the deli at the Attalla Johnson’s location. The management is lazy and sexist. They ignore anything a favored employee does wrong entirely. But if you are unlucky enough to not be liked by the managers on a personal level or god forbid a young adult. You have no chance whatsoever at receiving any sort of respect at all. Women are allowed to wear ear rings, necklaces, hair bows, etc. but men are forced to wear only the uniform. They do not allow any male expression whatsoever and bleed people dry of hours out of spite. The management is extremely ignorant and rude and will seize any chance they can to yell at an employee over something that they should have handled and the employee had no control over. Mat. The main manager. He is stingy and rude despite coming from having nothing to running several Johnson’s locations. Connie. The deli manager. Is a complete idiot who often leaves her shift early and pays no attention to common sense when placing her employees on certain duties that suit them best. Then complain that they aren’t doing good enough at a job they were never good at to begin with. So it’s safe to say I will NEVER go back there for any...
Read moreJohnson's is a great place to shop for groceries. They have good prices and their meat is the best in town and always fresh. The staff is friendly and they seem to like each other as well. Everyone I come in contact with from the deli to cashiers and baggers always seem to be in a good mood. The Attalla store is large and always looks sparkling clean. Everything we've tried from the deli is good, from the hot bar to the desserts. They have the best chicken salad. You're not going to find too many specialty or "fancy" ingredients but I've noticed they have added a lot more to their stock. They make up for it by having local items that you can't find anywhere else. Locally made pork rinds on an end cap, spicy crackers at the deli, and sometimes a drink by the Milo's sweet tea called Alley Cat Tea which is SO delicious.
The only thing you have to be careful of is the parking lot. It doesn't matter what location you're at, if you haven't almost died in the parking lot are you even...
