Dollar General — Local services in Atwater

The dollar general in this town is generally a good place to shop. However, today I picked up two dozen eggs for $2.70, a reasonable price. I hand the cashier a twenty and get back $17.30 in change receiving a nickle and a quarter. After I get home I thoroughly inspect the change and realize that I have received a Canadian quarter. US banks will not accept this currency and I would be told to find a different coin at most fine establishments. I wouldn't be that upset, however the exchange rate means the 25 cents is worth 19 cents in the US.
