I can't speak highly enough of Jim, Don, and Nate in Service!
I recently purchased an older John Deere 955 tractor. It seemed to run fine - other than the lights, but I wanted a dealer to completely go through it and change all fluids, filters, fan blade, and in general, to check it out. I wanted to know my tractor was indeed reliable. I also needed new front tires, a new seat, a rear work light, and a block heater.
I knew there were some horror stories about dealers online, so I approached this with some degree of reluctance.
Well, the Tri-County Equipment team did NOT disappoint! They picked up my tractor, completed the work, returned it to me, and I am more than delighted with the job they did - and the pricing was, in my view, very fair. Don even spent some time with me to answer my questions on removing the mower deck.
They even replaced a makeshift wooden knob on a PTO control with a Deere one!
So much of a purchase is defined by the seller's support, and this dealership rates an A+++. I absolutely...
Read moreSalesman there is very rude and unhelpful. Old guy with white hair. Would not recommend this store. Go to any other location or better yet Weingartz. I had a problem with a new part for my John Deere that i needed help with. Nobody there has experience with John Deere tractors and he had to call another store for the answer and the whole time his attitude was one of irritation for my questions. After he was told the part number I needed from the other store I asked if they would exchange for the correct part and he said he’d have to call the owner but “probably not because I bought it at a different dealer and they didn’t make any money off of me”. I said that this was disappointing and he started yelling that “there is nothing I can do for you and to go somewhere else”. Not sure how bad of a day this guy was having but his actions are a stain on TriCounty...
Read moreThey have completely gone to $#&@!!! I broke the pull cord on my Stihl trimmer, and as I do not like changing them out, I took it to Tri-County, in Auburn Hills. After they had it for nearly a month, (waiting on parts), I called and was told that it would be done within the hour and that they would call when ready. After 3 hours I called back and was informed that it was ready. They charged $175 dollars for the cord and a tune-up. For another $50 and I could have purchased the new equivalent. Do yourself a favor and take your Stihl business, (especially repairs), to ACE, where I had a new cord and tune-up on my Stihl chainsaw done for...
