We went for my Dad's birthday & it was noisy we couldn't even hear our selfs talk over the music and the waitress acted like she didn't even want to be there, I don't like to give a negative review, but this was the 1st we've been out to dinner in over a year & you would think that they could have a little more personality into the service, I felt like I was bothering the waitress when I'd ask her a question, it wasn't as if she was busy with other tables or I would have understood as I once was a waitress many years ago, so I would have made sure my guest would have had a better experience knowing people are just being able to get out & interact once again I would have at least smiled too! And there was only 7 of us we enjoyed appetizers of the pizza, deep fried ch and Quesadillas which were good & then dinner was good except the french dip the meat less & also dry, the fish & chips were also good, I can't comment on the others but my sister had a very good looking Ck salad, all in all it was just nice to be together and the waitress was still tipped very well, I hope that if we come again she will be alot more nicer it makes a difference especially since it's been awhile to go out & she should have made the experience better and I'm really sorry for having to say this!
Update to response from Auburn Golf Course, did you actually read my review or is this just a generic response? We didn't play Golf! We Ate in Bogeys, so why would I go to the pro shop? To further talk about this? Anyway I'm not looking for a free meal or anything else, it is what it is and the waitress was responsible for making sure everything was Ok, but she failed, my family is very polite and kind & they tipped her VERY good in spite of it because of Covid & it's been hard on Hospitality, but she could of at...
Read moreThe course might be great, however after 3 lessons into a package of 10 one hour sessions, I still hadn't hit the ball! In the 3rd lesson I began to ask clarification questions and it was clear the instructor didn't appreciate my enthusiasm for knowledge & quickly sent me off to the side. He then ignored me (so much for I'll get back to you) & chose to work ONLY with my husband (who had golfing experience & was there mainly to encourage me). Yes, we had made it clear up front that our goal was for ME to be able to join him. Hey I get it, beginners take time & energy, but you accepted my money knowing I had never golfed - you KNEW what you were getting into!
I suppose I should have known better as my 1st experience with him was when I wanted to buy clubs, asked to see them (new in box) and he told me he couldn't open the box. Um, then how do I know if they fit my teeny-tiny size?
This instructor might be great at golfing, but clearly isn't able to teach or treat clients with respect. Dare I say women clients? Yeah, I'm not...
Read moreIMO Auburn is overpriced for the course. A couple of nice holes, but nothing just grabs you. My wife and I paid $143 for two rounds of golf, one riding in a cart on a Monday (Memorial Day so maybe weekend rates?). It was a 5 1/2-hour plus round. The pace of play was extremely slow and uneven, and we never saw a Marshall. Greens were peppered with ball marks, I repaired probably 5 per hole.
There are more scenic courses that are better maintained (or at least golfers have more course etiquette) and with better pace management for less money.
Don't get me wrong the course can be fun, and the pro shop is extremely friendly, but a little overpriced for...
