On a recent (February 2018) trip to Austin my partner and I decided to pay a visit to this park. We hiked from here to Barton Spring and we're very happy with our choice. There's a decent amount of terrain and water further down. To my surprise there were several small caves along the way as well. It was about five miles round trip from the trail head to Barton Spring. I know I'll surely visit again in the future.

Beautiful area, easy to walk trails that span for miles. Surprised how serene this area is being so close to downtown. Creek was dry in October, will be even more spectacular when the rain fills it in!

Tucked in a neighborhood, tons of options for trails, very shaded, we found a rope swing! Could be easy to get turned around so keep that in mind.

Fun spot to spend an afternoon. There isn't much space for laying out and the rocks can be painful after a while. Area was clean and there weren't too many people...
