Unfriendly local business. Started the call by saying I support local businesses and would like to buy good flow honey at HEB in the bulk self serve containers but noticed the plastic bottle for the honey is not BPA free and the honey flows warm and I won't buy warm or hot items inside non BPA plastic. The response was: It is your choice. Inconsiderate and very unfriendly attitude and obviously does not need my business. The lady made my choice easy. I will buy Walker Farms (another central Texas business) honey that comes in a glass jar and pay 6 cents per ounce more. We're a big honey family, no other sweetener for us. That is my choice. To support my point, a quote from Creed Living: "Even “food grade” plastic can leach chemicals and odors into your honey and there is a lot of research that shows it probably does. To me, a glass jar is a sign of QUALITY. Honey is a precious product. Why adulterate it in plastic anyway? Only cheap, poor quality honey will be found...
Read moreI’ve always had an appreciation for honest, hard working companies that have a genuine passion for what they do. I’ve been a honey addict for most of my life, and always made sure to buy brands that offered quality products. It’s quite difficult to find local companies unless you’re at a farmer’s market. I came across a sign somewhere in South East, Texas that had stated a lot of great information about the benefits of unprocessed, raw honey. I was at my local H-E-B and to my surprise they offered this locally made honey. I haven’t looked back since, and greatly appreciate the effort they put into supplying this honey. It tastes delicious, always helps when my family is sick, and has been played a great part in my holistic journey in life. Reading their website has me totally convinced the company is truly passionate and proud of their work....
Read moreI called Judy at Good Flow Honey to ask about free bee removal. She instantly gave me Austin's phone number. He was very knowledgeable. We scheduled a day for him to come out to help us. Austin & his helper came out and discovered our bee problem was bigger than we thought. We estimated the hive to be about 2 yrs old. After Austin inspected it we found out it was much older. They did an amazing job removing the hive. We even had a "lesson" on the different types of honeycombs that were found, found 3 queen bees there were about to hatch and what happens to the colonies when they do. He even taught us about the different stages (colors) of honey that was in the hive & a taste test. Austin, we want to thank you for everything you did today, it's not an easy job. If anyone has bees Austin is your guy!! Thank you Good Flow Honey &...
