Had such a great time at the candle workshop I attended! We got a good amount of education about the different types of waxes, oils, what blends well, testing all the scent options, etc. This was a fun and intimate experience for a small group of people at the Slow North shop. I feel confident after this workshop that I can go home and make my own candles. Would absolutely do this again and I do recommend it for a fun little friend outing. So as a customer service professional I appreciate excellent service. I walked into this shop for a unique birthday card, which I was able to find. But when I walked in and said hi to the person working she ignored me. She was training someone on candle pouring or something. But still couldn't even acknowledge me. It wasn't until I had something in my hand to purchase that I was acknowledged... Overall the shop is well curated but very expensive, and probably over priced. I was the only person in there also. I probably won't be back. It's the 2nd time I been in and not so much as a "hello" when you walk...

Slow North is an absolute gem! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted with a beautiful, serene atmosphere and the most divine scents from their hand-poured candles. It's the perfect place to unwind and find something special.

The staff—Laura, Jane, and Abby—are so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about their products. I always feel at home when I visit.

It's also my favorite spot for popping up with MOOD Aura Nomad -- the energy here makes every session feel extra special.
