DO NOT LIVE HERE! I am writing to express my concerns regarding my two-year residency at this property. Shortly after signing my lease, the property was acquired by a new management company. Despite initial assurances that fees for pest control, valet trash, and pet rent would remain consistent, I experienced fluctuating monthly charges ranging from $1,400 to $1,800, in addition to separate electric bills of $70 to $200. This made budgeting unpredictable and frustrating.
Furthermore, the gate access system, reliant on a mobile app, was frequently unresponsive, causing delays and traffic congestion. Maintenance requests were also handled inefficiently. For example, a request to repair a squeaking dryer took months to address, and the initial fix was temporary. Additionally, my roommate's window remained unrepaired for over a year despite multiple service requests. While maintenance improved towards the end of my lease, these issues were persistent.
Upon deciding not to renew my lease, I was initially informed that I only needed to sign a document on my move-out date. However, this verbal agreement was later contradicted by the lease's requirement for a 60-day written notice. When I sought written confirmation of the verbal agreement, I was denied due to potential repercussions for the employee. Consequently, I was charged the standard pro-rated rate instead of the initially discussed month-to-month rate.
On my move-out day, just days after the birth of my child, I was pressured to return the keys by 5 PM, despite my contract stating I had until 11:59 PM. Upon arrival, I was made to wait while the employee attended to prospective renters. I was then asked to remove a heavy trash bag from a bin, which the valet service had allegedly deemed too heavy. The on-site trash compactor was overflowing, with trash strewn across the area, creating...
Read moreFULL OF ROACHES in the kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, bedrooms and even the balcony. Disgusting the roaches would get inside the refrigerator when we open it and we did not to cook that much because they would get inside the food. Believe me it was disgusting to cook because the ROACHES would be in the wall or crawling around the counters. My mom try everything to get rid of the ROACHES but it did not work. So good luck for the people whoâs going to rent this unit 434.
The first day we were supposed moved in the apartment was dirty and death roaches. The dishwasher smells and it was super gross inside they did not clean it you can see some forks from the previous renters. The refrigerator was also not clean and some of the shelves were broken. The paint from the walls you can see that they only paint the ones that were bad. Our restrooms were linking water from the toilet and one of the restroom they did not paint the walls or clean the ceiling. Every window from the apartment they have BLACK MOLD around the windows and also dirty. Even the balcony was dirty.
The maintenance people are super nice but they would take forever to come to fixed something. The office people are not organized because every time I call or go to the office they would give me different information.
Fire alarm will ring randomly at night. Office people, you need to buy your own alarm batteries and also your own light bulbs. We pay to rent this unit and they did seem to care to replace batteries or light bulbs. We pay for the trash to be collected from our unit but they would only take two bags.
They did not seem to care that much if the apartment was clean or not on that time COVID cases were still high, my mom came to clean before we move in completely. I would not...
Read moreUPDATE: I was contacted by a manager, who had been unaware of the issues. There is a new answering service and my information had not been routed correctly. Kathy took point and made sure the roof leak was fixed, the drying equipment collected, and the wall patched. I have a challenging schedule due to working nights and she took this into consideration when making arrangements, which is much appreciated. It was a very frustrating experience, but I do feel that my concerns were addressed appropriately and have altered my review accordingly. And, as I said, I had been pleased with my experience until this issue. I will revisit and update again after some time has passed and if all has continued to go well will revise the rating upward again. (I'd give 3.5 stars as of today but it doesn't allow half stars.)
6/03/2021 I had been a big fan of this place, until they decided that a leaky roof isn't a problem. I was lucky enough to catch the first couple drips from my ceiling and called emergency maintenance immediately, around 11pm. They said someone would be there in 2-4 hours. No one arrived for 12 hours. They checked the wall, said it was very soggy, and set up drying equipment for 48 hours. After I wasted an entire day (and took the day off work) someone arrived at 5pm on the day the equipment was supposed to be removed. I had been told they'd arrive in the morning. I was then informed that the wall is still full of water because the complex never fixed the leak from the roof. It's been raining all week and they decided to leave a leak that is bringing water into my home and putting the two units below me at risk for water damage also. No one is returning my calls, and no one in the office even picked up despite multiple calls during...
