As another reviewer said, I will never, ever donate to this ReStore again. I am a strong supporter of the ReStores, both in donations and shopping, but this store will not ever get my donations again. I went there to donate four sling style patio chairs and a wooden adirondack style chaise lounge chair, all in good condition. We just wanted something different. By the way the staff acted when we pulled up, you would have thought we were a garbage truck arriving to dump a pile of garbage in their donation area. They asked us many questions about the patio chairs and then begrudgingly took them. They refused the adirondack chair because I did not also donate a chaise cushion with it. Seriously?! They said they wouldn't be able to sell it. I know that's not true. Anyway, a few minutes later, they placed all four sling chairs next to a table nearly identical to the one my chairs came with (I kept that) for $5 each. Not only will my chairs bring them $20 that they didn't have before, but they'll be more likely to sell their table now that it has nearly matching chairs. The worst thing was they didn't bother to say thank you. My husband thanked one of the employees for the receipt and she said, "You're welcome". It wasn't until I told them that they could at least say thank you that they finally said thank you and that they appreciated my donation. Yeah, right. I will never donate here again. I hope others do the same and take their donations to the Indianapolis, Greenwood, Morgan County, Monroe County, Greenfield, or Hamilton...
Read moreI scheduled a pickup of a washer and dryer from my old apartment on the second floor before I needed to turn the keys over. I talked to the scheduler and explained how I explicitly had no equipment or way of getting these out myself and decided to donate to a good cause instead of trying to sell them. The scheduler knew this and said no worries no problem. There was no other communication from them. Not even the crew to give a heads up that they were on their way. As the crew arrives a bit late, they wait until they are in the apartment and around the corner to where the set is to say that they can’t take them down any stairs and tight spaces due to liability issues. I was able to get the dryer out to the stairs by myself and just needed a dolly. Can’t let me use due to liability issues (understandable). They ask if there is anyone to help me while in the same breath saying they need to leave for the next job (though they arrived at my place late). I’m not upset with the crew that showed up but definitely the scheduler and for no one checking the notes. I scheduled this a few weeks prior to when I needed to be out thinking I was prepared to finalize moving out. This situation has now left me open to being charged by my old apartments for leaving large items for them to dispose of. I really wanted this to have went well but please do a better job of alerting people to your limitations so that you’re not putting people into a last...
Read moreI tried for a few months to get a scheduled pick up of a large load of furniture. While the staff member was very nice and said it wouldn't be a problem to meet our deadlines, the communication for the actual pick up schedule was really poor. I called and never got a person and voicemails were not usually returned. I also emailed the details to try and get confirmation of pickup. I really wanted to donate to this facility because it was good furniture and a lot of it. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The really sad thing is that the drivers were scheduled and I never got confirmation, so I couldn't meet them. I see other reviews with similar situations, so I hope they can work with staff to improve their...
