I am writing to formally express my disappointment with an experience I had at one of your Rainbow Shop located at 6216 Little River Turnpike on Saturday, September 6th.
I visited the store to purchase two items and asked if I could try them on after purchasing them. I was told by an associate who identified herself as the manager that trying on items after purchase was not allowed. When I asked to see where this policy was posted, she was unable to show me any signage. This was confusing, as I had shopped at the same location just two days earlier and tried on a sweater after purchasing it, in full view of two other individuals who appeared to be store managers at the time.
When I raised this inconsistency, the associate became loud and dismissive, which I found both surprising and upsetting.
In addition, while I was at the register inquiring about the refund policy, a young child who appeared to be the associate’s child was behind the counter. The child was touching items I was purchasing and grabbing at my clothing, which felt both unprofessional and distracting.
When I asked about the return policy, I was told that refunds could not be issued without the original physical card. I was never made aware of this prior, and when I expressed concern, the associate told me she did not have to explain it and that those are the rules. When I noted that such rules seemed to be enforced selectively, particularly given that a nonemployee child was allowed behind the register, she told me to mind my business and asked me to leave the store.
I attempted to escalate the matter by calling the store the today to request a manager’s email address so I could formally share my concerns. The associate who answered the phone, who I believe was the same individual I encountered during my visit, claimed that store managers do not have email addresses. However, when I contacted two other Rainbow locations, both confirmed that management contact information is available upon request. This discrepancy only added to my frustration.
I am confident that I was treated unfairly and that the behavior I experienced does not reflect the values Rainbow Shops aims to uphold. Whether I am shopping at Bloomingdale’s or Rainbow, I expect and believe I deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect.
I hope this matter will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate a response outlining how situations like this are typically handled and whether the behavior I encountered aligns with your customer service standards.

Read moreYes one bad apple can ruin the basket, I couldn't sleep last night because the scene kept replaying in my head. We shop at this location few times a month, but I am not happy with what I saw yesterday. 09/11/20 @ 7:40 pm A Female customer was checking out but she didn't really understand English, the worker on the other hand was talking down at the costumer and raising her voice asking the customer to select debit, remove the card and swipe it. Rushing her and being very rude. The customer got nervous and made a mistake, as result the card was not authorized. The way this female worker was talking so laud for everyone to hear "It's declined" No Money.....she shouldn't be embarrassing the customer like that. There are terms to use like: "I am sorry but your card did not go through" would you like to use another card or pay cash?... Also the product that is being purchased is still in worker's side near the register, while she was giving the custom hard time and popping her eyes out at the customer. The worker's behavior is stuck between being Ghetto and a hillbilly. The worker is NOT a woman of color, I do not know Nor do I want to know her name. she worked next door at 5 below before working at Rainbow. In the end the costumer did PAY, it was about $30. plus and left in peace with no comments, the worker kept being loud complaining about breaking her nail because she was messing with that "Insulting the customer" after she left the store. This is NOT acceptable, not from her and not from anyone. The customer is not always right, but you cannot behave as if you are selling drugs. It doesn't cost anything to be nice and treat people the way you want to be treated. It is called being "JUST" This worker need serious training in the customer...
Read moreIf it could give it 0 stars I would. I came in today to buy a pair of sandals. I kind of know already that usually I don’t get greeted at any Rainbow shops so I was used to it. There were at least 5 people on the floor. There were racks In front of the sandal wall near the register so I could not get through really. No one tried to assist me. Everyone was yelling across the store like they had no sense of professionalism at all. One girl yelled “CAN WE CLOSE ALREADY” Seriously? Like if you don’t like your job change it. Then proceeded to act like she was closing the store and sad “Alright we are closed” I was just amazed on how comfortable they were having that conversation loudly on the floor. Mind you they don’t close until a hour later. One was eating at the cash register as if they do not have a break room. Then this is the part that kills me one was looking at her phone and said “OH MAN THIS MY BABY DADDY AND MUST OF JUST GOT OUT OF JAIL” again very unprofessional. She then proceeds to answer the phone and says “Oh man what did you do this time” has a whole conversation on the phone at the register. Then she tried on a dress in the middle of the sales floor. Also they do not have any dressing rooms here. When I asked they said no they don’t have any and that I could return in 7 days. No thank you. How you a clothing store with no dressing room. Anywho there were many other things that were unprofessional that I don’t think I could fit here. Mind you I was in the store for 15 minutes and this is a whole lot I observed already. Whoever manages this lo location needs to train them better and go over professionalism. If they were helping customers on the floor and had their fitting room open they would sell a lot more. I mean this...
