Alien Fresh Jerky — Local services in Baker

This is a fun pit stop. Nice store and clean restrooms. Lots of cool things inside the store to look at. We loved looking at the :

It's easy to rack up $$$ here. Especially when there's no free samples so we just winged it.

We purchased 5 different types of jerky and here's our review of them:

Honey Teriyaki - the kid that loves honey loved this flavor, so it's hers

Sweet & Spicy - On a scale of 1 to 5, it's a 3 in spiciness. The husband that loves sweet and spicy food loves this flavor, so it's all his.

Pineapple Teriyaki - the kid that loves pineapple pizza loved this flavor, so it's all hers

Road Kill - kind of bland, not much flavor, but the dog loves it

Lemon Pepper - my favorite, just the right amount of lemon flavor, not very peppery. Everyone seems to like this flavor so I have to share.

In the end, everyone walked away with a bag they love. The only catch, we have to finish the entire bag in 3 days.

We also bought banana gummy candy (sooo good). Cute tin mint collectables, and 3 jars of avocado honey (this is a RARE find!!).

It would have been a 5 star rating if the service was better. The line was long to check out and my two tourmaline got tossed in a bag with all the other items I got and they started chipping apart and there was tourmaline all over the bag. It should have been wrapped in newspaper or something but the cashier didn't care. Good thing I didn't buy any more expensive rocks or it could have really...

My kids and I were coming from Las Vegas back home. The town BAKER is a town with maybe 2 exits. It's a small stop to grab food, snacks, and gas. The ALIEN FRESH JERKY is a must stop snack shop with some, OUT OF THIS WORLD things to see! It's not a huge shop, its a very intimate space. Seriously, a get in, look around, get what your there for, and get out type place. Not thats it's bad but this place is hopping with out of towners swing by to get a look and a snack. They have tons of Jerky with all kinds of flavors! They have an alien fortune teller. They have all kinds of souviners that you won't find anywhere else. (I once found a tin solar system lunch pail that my daughter teacher bought off of me for her classroom!!) I love swinging through here whenever I can! So this particular day I woke my kids up to go inside. Needless to say they didn't look to happy in this picture!! Hahaha. This place always puts a smile on my face. It always keeps me on my toes on what kind of souviners I will find when I get there!! If you ever get a chance to stop in, I promise you wont regret it! Don't normally write reviews. Been stopping here for 10 years. Normally had no complaints. Now that I have kids they've wanted to stop by the past few times we've been driving to Vegas and only once have we actually been able to go in. The other times it was just closed early. At least this last time (today) there was a sign taped to the door (unlike the other times). We got there about 6:15pm and the sign said they closed at 6pm. Within the 5 mins of us being there, taking a pictures outside, there was at least 6 other cars pulled up and check. Even the time we did get to take my kids in to buy somethings, I realized later on the road that they charged me the wrong price for a stuffed alien which was more than it cost. We were already on the road so it's too hard to turn back. This place has become more frustrating than its worth. Had we known they were closing early we wouldn't have even exited and wasted our time. They either need to keep to their schedule or change their times. Have some consideration to...
