Catch Sitka Seafoods — Local services in Baranof Island

We started our journey with Catch Sitka earlier this year. After spending copious amounts of time searching for a consistent source for FRESH FISH that was as close to the source as possible we discovered Catch Sitka Seafoods. We live in Western Wyoming in the Yellowstone basin area just south of Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Here we are accustomed to buying our food as close to the farm as possible allowing us the best quality food we can source. We are keenly aware of the quality of food that is lacking in our local grocery stores AND finding a family owned (NOT CORPORATE OWNED) supplier was at the top of our list. We settled on Catch Sitka and have never looked back.

The quality of the fish is AS ADVERTISED! This is some of the best fish our family has had available to us in a very long time. They pay attention to detail and wonderful to buy from. Growing up in the commercial fishing industry in Cordova, AK. I was surprised that once I ordered spot prawns and halibut my card was charged within hours. 9 days later I received my seafood and it shipped from Sitka to Portland instead of Seattle. The halibut had no smell of fresh fish whatsoever. All of the products were half thawed. You recommended to refreeze all that seafood. If you look at Alaska Seafood Marketing website as to handling the quality of Seafood you will discover some important information. I love fish but I rarely enjoy it because I have had such a hard time sourcing fresh fillets. I am so happy that I found Catch Sitka Seafoods though! The fish is super fresh, has amazing flavor and is sustainable! Talk about a win win! It is seafood you will enjoy the taste of and can feel good about eating at the same time!
