The boat tour itself was great, the guide & captain were extremely good, very knowledgeable and informative, also great at spotting the whales, eagles & sealions. The boat was very clean and comfortable with a good range of drinks & snacks.Communication with the company was very good. My only negative was the pick up point, we weren't coming off a cruise liner, we were staying in Juneau. The pick up point was a port at the far end of Juneau which cost us £35 to taxi to, the bus then transferred us to where the boat trip began, which was actually 5 minutes away from where we were staying - so we hadn't needed to spend the taxi fare, which was a little sickening considering the boat trip wasn't cheap. At the end of the trip we asked the bus driver if we could get off the bus at our road end as he was passing it to return to the pick up point but he refused, said he wasn't allowed to. So we just left and walked back instead. I thought that was a bit mean.

** I would like to add to my review, since writing the above, True Alaskan Tours have emailed me with an apology and refunded me $35, the cost of my taxi fare. I am very impressed. They have certainly redeemed themselves in my mind. Thankyou True...

My son and I had an awesome day with True Alaska Tours to Tracey Arm Fjord. The captain took the time to stop for any points of interest, pointing out a black bear that we easily could have missed, stopping so we can take as many pics as we want of ice bergs and the waterfall, eagles and seals. We were enthralled when he spotted the blow of a whale, and after several quiet minutes we were treated to a whale sighting and tail wave. Our onboard guides Sherry and Noe were the best! They were kind and helpful and made us feel like that boat was our home for 7 hours. Sherry was a wealth of knowledge and humour, we learned many things from her about Alaskan history and the breathtaking views. The captain brought us as close as safety would allow to both the South and North Sawyer glaciers. They were both spectacular!!! We witnessed calving and a “shooter” which Sherry explained to us. The trip back home was direct and smooth. A perfect day. This excursion is well worth the price - I highly recommend it. I hope Sherry will be part of your crew, she really brought the...

Went on two tours with True Alaskan Tours. The first one was to Glacier Bay NP (completely AWESOME experience - Sherry was the best!), the second was to Tracy Arm Fjord, which was a beautiful place but the crowd on the boat was a bit "rough." I think they all came off of a cruise ship and would run when there was something good to see outside and would NOT move and would NOT allow others to have their time to take photos or view things. They would bang into you and cut in front of you. I don't know. It seems like the crew could have made an announcement about being considerate of others - taking your time but also allowing others to get in front and have their time. If you weren't super aggressive, you would not get your time. I don't think this is how things should be on a day trip. Glacier Bay NP trip was completely opposite. Everyone was kind and considerate of others. So, mixed bag depending on which tour you take. I'm giving Tracy Arm 4 stars due to the scenery, but 1 star when it came to...

Pictures truly don’t do the Misty Fjords any justice. Just breathtaking and completely worth the cost of the trip. Karley, the naturalist, was so knowledgeable and kind. She checked up on everyone and answered all our questions. Bathrooms were clean, the cabin area was warm and comfortable, and the observation deck had a covered area to keep you a tad warmer. Because we couldn’t find the answer to this online, I wanted to share our experience. We traveled with five children so we brought our own snacks for them. Free on the cruise were hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. Water and all other beverages had a cost. During the cruise, the host prepared and passed around two mini cinnamon sugar doughnuts, two ritz crackers with jelly, and chips with salsa. There were other snacks available for purchase. The jelly and salsa were for sale as well, which is why they were given out as samples, I guess. I did expect there to be more snacks for free, but now you know. 🤷‍♀️

There are not enough words to identify how amazing this 12-hour trip to glacier Bay national Park was. I plan on coming back to the Juneau area, specifically on a date that this trip is running again. The staff were amazing, including the captain who was very attentive if somebody saw something. We were able to see many humpback whales, dalls porpoises, seals, stellar sea lions, mountain goats and of course my favorite puffins!!! If you have the option to do this excursion, TAKE IT!!! Thank you for an amazing trip. It was our first full day in Juneau for a week, and was probably the best day for all of us. Close up views of the glaciers. But the ability to see the wildlife was absolutely astounding. Thank you again!!!!

What a spectacular tour of Sitka Sound and all of the wildlife we encountered. Our entire crew was fantastic, Captain Jared was a great boat captain and obviously had the knowledge and experience to point out things others may have missed. In our two and an half hours were able to see Bald Eagles, Harbor Porpoises, Humpback Whales, Grey Whales, Sea Otters, and many other wildlife. Our Naturalist Connor had great knowledge of the biodiversity of the area and was able to answer questions with ease. The entire crew was incredibly personable and you could tell they were happy to share their love of this area with all of us. Thank you for an incredible excursion.
