Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Barkhamsted

Ollie's Bargain Outlet was founded in 1982 in Pennsylvania and it is a discount closeout retailer. There are 525 stores in 31 states. They sell all types of products; those are seasonal products, apparel, pet supplies, household goods, books, and etc. These items were overstock items from other retailers; these retailers are Walmart, Target, and Costco, to name a few.

I'm a huge fan of these types of stores. I love a good sale, discounts, and bargain hunting. I'd have to say, this store reminded me alot of Ocean State Job Lot. As per Dan R.'s review, I do agree that it's also similar to Christmas Tree Shops and Big Lots.

It's located in a plaza with Dollar Tree, Subway, and more. The store was pretty organized on my last visit. There was a huge book section, my favorite area in the store! They also had so many toys, Christmas decor, and some snacks. We were greeted at the door and the cashier was friendly. I signed up for the Ollie's Army for discounts and coupons; I got a 15% off coupon for my next visit by doing so. Overall, a fun place to shop and just like their motto, "Get Good...

Going here is much like the same type of feeling as you were able to experience as a child going into the local five and dime. Everyone who works there is super friendly and eager to help you, the aisles are choak full of quality items and the best part is that they are nearly 40-60% off the national price. 🙂 I absolutely love this place, the only thing I can see that is in any way negative is that it's almost an hour away from my house. Ollie's reminds me a lot of Ocean State Job Lot, which is why I love this store so much! There is a lot for a decent price, and a vast variety of merchandise, furnishings, and many things you wouldn't normally find in traditional stores. This feels like a one-stop shop for odds and ends and last minute ideas for just about anything, and I appreciate that!

The store is spacious & clean, the staff are polite and energetic, and everything is very reasonably priced!
