I discussed the product I needed with a sales associate and waited for the late delivery to be wrong. I called and talked to another associate who’s voice was so distorted I asked him to pull back from the receiver so I could understand him. He didn’t and I couldn’t make out 90% of what he said. I called again and was handed over twice to two different associates - neither of which knew the relatively common product to which I referred. One called back and asked for a picture of the product, which happens to be a deck fascia board. I gave him the dimensions and material makeup and he came back with a price. I called the next day, asked for him specifically because apparently he is the only one who has any knowledge about this product ( because I gave it to him) and was told he was processing an order, and he would call me right back. An hour later I called and was told he was out to lunch. This is not professional service, and this will be the last time I deal with these...

My experience at Leader Home Centers in Barre has been outstanding. I have been working with David Wallace regarding Trex decking. I have never met a more personable, helpful and honest salesman. When I figured out how much I needed and he called Trex for a price, it didn't match a price he'd gotten for me earlier. So he called Trex back and they reviewed it and found they had made a mistake in the cost and adjusted it to my advantage. What salesman does that?? I found that extraordinary. Furthermore, the site for the placement of the building materials is not accessible by truck, so they are going to off load it by hand at no extra charge. And they don't even charge for shipping! Again, who does that??? I can't sing their praises loudly enough in a world where honesty and helpfulness is often sacrificed for the almighty dollar! I know where I'll be shopping for all my home...

Hamshaw lumber was and is an amazing store. We met Justin through the Home Show in West Springfield. We were having issues with our builder and the ordering of our cabinets for our new kitchen addition. Hamshaw had the Shroock cabinets we wanted and with one visit to the Barre store Justin had our layout and cabinets design and colors laid out and ordered!! He gave us a visual design and came to our home to measure. The cabinets are absolutely beautiful. He was with us through the entire process. We had a minor issue with the measurement of a cabinet and Hamshaw lumber delivered the correct size with no questions asked. They stand by their design. I would never go anywhere else.
