The Home Depot — Local services in Barstow

I recently started a couple projects around the house. After making several lists and diagrams, I went to the Barstow Home Depot. I first started with the PVC plumbing. I was helped by a man that went by “Sparky” who was not assigned to plumbing but helped me get the right plumbing parts. I then went to the lumber department and was helped by several different people, several different trips. Danial helped me with the 12 plywood cuts. This was awesome because cutting plywood is one of my worst skills. Danial also set me up with a pro account. During checkout I was helped by Cheryl who has the look, smile and expertise at the pro desk that you would expect to encounter at the hardware store. She took her time explaining the bill. She also helped put 4 sheets of plywood on will call so I could arrange pick up. The projects are complete and I have a new found respect for our Home Depot and the individuals who operate it. I go to many many home depots due to my work. I'm a landlord & maintain my own properties with my great team of guys. Barstow is really nice & I know where everything is located. However the staff/employees are what truly makes me go to that location. They are all friendly & helpful & very knowledgeable. Barstow home depot has all ages of ppl working there so I always get correct info when I go there. I've had bad experiences from other locations that seem to prefer to hire younger workers. Nothing beats life experience & I no longer listen to any of the home depot ppl who are under 30 years old. They don't seem to care about giving good info & they don't even ask. I've had them even LIE about stuff just to be able to walk away & they seem preoccupied. Anyway in spite of that I prefer home depot to Lowes for price & again the knowledgeable staff. This Home Depot Store in Barstow is the worst. There Thieves, they been owing me $3,000 since November 14 2024. Every time I call and talk with a Manager or Bookkeeping. They say it's been mail out it take 10days. It never come. I call Home Depot back They say it will take another 21 days. I waited it never comes. I call back they say it under investigation or it's in the mail. In repeat that process over. I emailed Numerous times with picture of my Receipt they keep asking for.
