I went looking for a pair of boots. I found out it's harder than people realize when it's your 1st pair of boots and no one is around to help you. Thankfully, I watched a few videos on how the boot should fit your foot properly so that part was easy. The hard part was finding my size and a style that I liked. I probably went through 10 pairs before finding the "perfect fit" pair that I ended up getting that day. I do love the boots, and I'm glad I did my research beforehand. Otherwise, I could have been there for 5 hours. I ended up only spending about an hour and a half (maybe less), but it was worth it, I guess, to get the pair I got. Found out I'm an 8.5 B in this brand, so now I can buy them online and know confidentially that I'm buying the correct size. I wish they had a better selection of boots for women đ I found the lack of options disappointing. I would've loved different colors, and the ones I bought were already scuffed up. Then, I noticed that 98% of the boots were scuffed up. For $250+, I expect my boots not to have scuff marks all over them. I highly recommend getting someone to assist people with the boots. They had no packing in most of them to keep them in shape (like every other shoe/boot does) it looked as if someone had just gone and discarded them for no reason. As much as they cost, you should have someone there to help customers with the boots and make sure they get repackaged correctly.
Next trip, went to look at a glock The guy working at the gun shop area had no clue what he was talking about. He couldn't even get the side off of the glock 17 I was looking at. Thankfully, it's not difficult, so I was able to ease remove it and put it back on. I told him I was only interested in glocks, but he insisted on showing me a S&W, I told him I'm not versed in those, and apparently, neither was he. He couldn't even get the side off. I also told him I wasn't a fan of the safety on them. There's a reason I went looking for a glock 17, I knew exactly what I wanted. He lost a sale for sure today. Dressing rooms were cluttered and dirty. Bathrooms were also disgusting and lack a changing table. 1/3/23...
Read moreNewer updated store has been in place for several years now and is still clean and well lit day or night. Staff for the most part is helpful although at times it seems like they can be a little short handed. I walked through the store a while back @5:30pm on a week night. I saw one employee in the hunting area and 3 employees up front at the registers. I was needing help in the lawn and garden area but there was no one around. The last time I went out there I got what I needed and got in line. There was at least 30 people in one line and it was backed up all the way down to if not past the hardware and toy isles which is a good 50'. A few of the folks were together but still... It may have been just been a fluke. I have been out of town for the last could of weeks and haven't been back out there since then so I'm hoping it was a fluke. I use Atwoods alot for my projects so I'm glad they're here. I still recommend them but if they're still having problems on my next trip out I may...
Read moreWe have bought several chicks this year at different times. We bought some here a few days ago and set them up like we have all the others. The first night, one was going downhill. By morning, a second one was. Spent the day making sure they were warm and checking on them but the first didnât make it. We called to see if they replace them if they die that soon and weâre told ânoâ since we called 26 hours after we bought them. Since then, two more have passed after slowly fading. Again, we have done everything the same as we have for dozens of chicks before without issue so I donât know what the problem is but am frustrated that they were so unwilling to help or even care. We see how poorly the chicks look there (terrible pasty butt to the point I know chicks die from it often) every visit and usually buy elsewhere but they had the kind we wanted.
I know sometimes baby animals donât make it but for an entire group to go downhill seems odd if there isnât an...
