PLEASE READ THIS!!!!....... I do love this place, I have been here for 2.5 years. And what I have noticed is sad. The old owners actually cared about the horses and most of the current trainers too. But after the old owner passed away, and the new lady replaced him, the quality has gone WAY down. She doesn't care at all about the lesson horses, but only the money she steals from the trainers and her two ragetty (old) horses that are going to die anyway. Also she DOESN'T SPEND ANY MONEY AT ALL ON THE WELL BEING OF THE LESSON HORSES. SHE KEEPS IT. She is kinda rude in person and is rude to the people that keeps the business running too (but that's beside the point) , and isnt really in a position to run the barn. I'm very happy though that most of the trainers are happy and the barn hasn't closed down. The kids and people at least have .
READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ MY PARAGRAPH. *please read Giana M's review, she sume up the biggest problems externally with the arena and the conditions of things ( !HUGE EDIT! : SOME OF THE LESSON HORSES GOT NEW SADLES AND HAVE BEEN GETTING BETTER TREATMENT VIA VACCINES, BREAKS, AND ANTIBIOTICS, also they re do the layout of the arena a lot toođđâ€) *also please read Carolyn Avery's post too. (The horses do get turn out) (EDIT: THE BARN HAS BEEN INVESTING IN BETTER RINGING EQUIPMENT FOR THE HORSES VIA CLEANING, FITTING, AND SWAPING) *The barn in general is great, the boardes horses are in great condition, and they ( the owner) has been investing in the horses more, which is why I'm now giving a 3 star review not a 1 or 2 star review. I'm also too emotionally connected :) *LASTLY: if you are going to ride here, I would definitely recommend riding a share board horse for the well being of the lesson horses which are a bit over worked and would be in better condition mental, emotional, behavioral, and physically if they got new, or a better work schedule for the horses. ( EDIT: THE BARN IS WAY BETTER NOW WITH SCHEDULING, the horses aren't out for more that 1.5 hours at a time) Poneys are doing...
Read moreThis barn is abusive. they run a scam if killing horses. ever since 12 years ago when my mom left the barn and the new owner came there. there was more horses you could see bones of. that you shouldnât be seeing. They are making 32 year old horse named Spot. Ride and ride no breaks, no turnouts. no nothing. Riley, HAS THE SMALLEST STALL in that barn. the roof is falling down. The staff are rude and ignorant. They are also very disrespectful. The stalls are crammed. Tuesday canât move at all. they canât roll or even lay down in the stalls. A lot of the âLessonâ Gorses. have the smallest stalls when it should be all horses that have good sized stalls. They disrespected me and my trainer today. From visiting our old horses. These horses donât have the best hkme. The owner doesnât care about horses. Only money. She wonky cares about money. Sheâs an old lady who needs to be fired. along with everyone else. They need better homes. And better owners. only some of the people there really are very nice. Alot of the trainers donât care about other students. just advanced students. they over work their horses, they give them no turnouts or breaks. they have back to back lessons with these horses that are over worked. DONT GO TO THIS BARN FOR ANYTHING. THEIR PONIES ARE STARVING. THE PONIES BONES ARE ABLE TO BE SEEN THOUGH SKIN. They watch if you take pictures. They donât want to you expose them and what they do. The trainers get in arguments in front of little kids and start swearing mf especially Angela. And Maggie âThe ownerâ....
Read moreMy wife and I took off work and went to take my daughter for a pony ride for her birthday. Signs say open 9am-5pm. We get there when they open just to find out they have no ponies or horses until after 1pm because they are getting their heaters fixed. They could've posted this information on their website or something. What a way to break a little girls heart.
Edit: I guess I need to elaborate more on this post. It was October. The weather wasnât cold. It wasnât hot. It was normal fall weather. The fact that the place was open with no horses or ponies available is my problem. They couldâve posted a sign outside the front door to let us know. I couldâve called, but the website makes no mention that these types of occurances can happen. No disclaimers or anything. Just rides from 9-5. It is what it is. For those that had a good time here, Iâm happy for you. Unfortunately my experience...
