Beef Shack — Restaurant in Bartlett

This restaurant is immediately included in my list of good restaurants. I went in here for the first time. I came to know this restaurant through a friend who lives in the area and who also introduced me to it. I was in Bartlett, and I was looking for a good spot to have lunch, and my friend told me to go in here, so I did. I had high expectations because this was the first thing my friend recommended, and I expected the food to be excellent, which it is. The interior of the restaurant appears to be very nice, as does the atmosphere and vibe. The restaurant is neither large nor small, but lean and bright, and the interior appears to be very nice, as does the atmosphere and vibe. They have a menu that basically has all the food you would expect, such as burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. I was curious about their burger, and that is what I ordered, plus fries and a drink. The service is fast. Then, the burger has a good portion, not too big and not too small either, and it tastes really good, as do the fresh-cut fries. The food has nothing special about it, nor does the restaurant, but their good food and clean and nice place are enough that I would definitely not think twice about...

While the food here is alright, my last visit here was something else... When I first walked in to pick up my order, not only was I not greeted (and I mean not even a nod of acknowledgment), but instead, I was stared down by an individual behind the counter who then took off his mask to whisper to one of the employees next to him while watching me. I don’t know if I misread the situation, but he held eye contact with me for a good 15-20 seconds, making me feel extremely uncomfortable, and then turned away without even so much as a hello. I was the only customer in there too, so it's not like they were too busy to say hello. It was just weird how no one said anything.

Additionally, there were a couple of men (either employees or management) sitting/standing around the establishment not wearing their face masks. If the cooks, who were working in the heat had their masks on, I am confused as to why these employees/or managers weren’t wearing them....I understand needing a break from the masks, but at least have the courtesy to put them back on when there are customers in the...

The food here is to die for (literally the world’s best fries!), but their customer service needs a lot of improvement. My order is incorrect or something is missing more times than not. One time one of their cashiers, Michael, gave me such bad service that I ended up calling the owner (also named Michael). Owner Michael was very kind and willing to help, but the service has not improved. I was in there today, December 5, and was overcharged. The menu board clearly stated it was $2.50 to make it a “meal” (add fries and a drink), and I was charged $3.00. Not a big deal, it’s only .50, except when I brought it to the cashier’s attention, she simply said, “yeah our prices went up”, even when I pointed out that the menu board still said $2.50. Again, I don’t care about the .50, I cared that the cashier didn’t care or apologize. Long story short, I will probably stop coming here due to the poor service. Which is sad, because the food here is out of this...
