Harvest Meat Market — Local services in Bartow

I love Harvest! I've been to the Crystal Lake location and the Bartow Road location, and I'll never go anywhere else when I need to stock up on meat. They're clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they have a butcher on hand for custom cuts at the Bartow location. The first time I visited the Bartow store, they actually had a guy walking around asking customers if they wanted anything cut fresh. The only thing I've not been thrilled with there is the chicken breast; they're a bit bland and sometimes have an odd consistency. I still buy it sometimes, because it's so much cheaper than anywhere else I've found, but only to make in casseroles or similar dishes where the chicken flavor isn't supposed to stand out as much. But I love love love the steak, ribs, pork chops, ground beef, chicken wings/thighs, etc. Plus, Pork chops and ground beef are always BOGO, and everything else is BOGO on and off. This is the only place I can justify buying steak, because I can get five lbs of most cuts for the same price as 2 at my usual grocery store. And teachers get 10% off, which is...

I usually have a great experience here. We buy a lot of meat for a family of 3 as well as 4 raw fed dogs. Service is usually fantastic and they usually have great deals.

My only complaints are that when the ground beef was BOGO, it was $3.99 a pound but when it's not BOGO its $1.99 a pound.

Also, I went in once a while back and found chicken backs which my dogs love. The next time I went in there were none. I asked the cashier and she said they have never carried chicken backs. But, they do, you just have to order them by the case if they dont have any up front. I found that out much later. If i had known months ago, I would have ordered at least a case a month. It seems like she was too busy telling us how to cook gizzards, even though I told her they were...

I have never seen a cleaner meat market...and the staff, the best you could ask for...and that is simply because the owners are absolutely the nicest couple you could ever meat..Lol get it....meat.....I feel so welcomed when I go in ..I love this place...I actually look forward to going in. Also if you want to save money...lots of money...be sure and pick your meats up here...you will Get 3 steaks for the price of 1 at the other larger stores...mentioning no names. I have always shopped at the bigger stores for my meats...again mentioning no names. I am very picky about the freshness flavor and the tenderness....and the really great thing is ...they have anything you need. I promise you won't be sorry...
