Dollar General — Local services in Batesburg-Leesville

As usual nothing is stocked. Place is a mess. Most things aren't priced. Clearance section has NO prices. Clearance shelf states priced as "marked", again they're aren't ANY prices on one thing in the Clearance. I brought this to the attention of the worker who told me they "aren't supposed to price those". I reminded her it states priced as marked and she still responded with they "don't price that stuff because it's all discontinued ". So how am I supposed to know the price of something then? Then tells me I should have used the app to price check. No! 🤦‍♀️ I don't come here for a reason. It's always a mess and you never have anything in stock. It's always a wasted trip. I have zero desire to download your app....

Cashier was friendly, but she gave me the wrong pack of cigarettes. When I got to my car I noticed because I was with my 80 year old mother in law who has dementia and I didn't notice inside the store. Went to exchange cigarettes and the manager was rude and said we don't exchange cigarettes. I said I was just here 20 seconds ago and have my receipt. She said...you should have made sure they were right before you left the store. I said I didn't and your cashier made the mistake. She said she asked before you left. I said yes but I didn't notice then. She also neglected to notice I was helping mom at the time. I left very upset and told I would not be back in her store!! I even spent $60. ...

The staff accused me of stealing based off of someone saying it and publicly chased me out the door taking pictures of my tag and saying I stole. Me knowing I was innocent followed staff inside to simply wait for police cause I knew that after they viewed the tape they would see I did not steal I simply put basket down. Working in retail myself I know that you are not to chase a theif down you are to report and allow authorities to do the rest. So standard protocol was ignored and I was humiliated by them.
