The signs on the door clearly state the store hours. We waited for the associate to complete their sales transaction with a customer. After the customer left, the associate stood outside to smoke. When my husband went to pay his bill (and that was the only transaction) he was told, "They've worked me an hour longer than I was supposed to be here." We did not pay our bill. I understand that this is an independent agent of Verizon. For the amount of money spent on phones, accessories, and monthly bills, I look for the same welcome one would get from a business who truly wanted to maintain my business. There are plenty of businesses, where I spend far less, who greet each customer who walks in the door with "Welcome to __!!!!" That greeting is probably part of their required job, and whether genuine or not, it gives me the feeling that I'm welcomed and my business is appreciated.
