Voodoo Tattoo — Local services in Bay City

Three stars based on price, awesome building, and front desk staff friendliness. Brought my niece (9) in for her first piercings and she was quite nervous. Those at the front desk were extremely nice and helped console her fear, no help from the actual piercing artist. He barely spoke to us and was actually quite rude to my nervous niece saying, “Once I open my tools, I’m getting paid no matter what”. No sympathy. I’d mention his name but he didn’t even introduce himself. If you’re looking for someone to get you in and out with little hospitality and good speed, he’s your guy. I've received many tattoos over the years from Voodoo. Even before the church location. I loved going there and promoting their work. Now nobody can be straight up with people. Meaning they will hardly ever call you back. If they do it's weeks if not months later. Your a inconvenience more than anything if they're not interested in doing what you want. Tip to them, be straight up with clients. If you don't want to do it? Then don't, say that. I'd rather have honesty and confidence coming from an artist then smoke blown up my ass. I'm truly sad about their customer service over the last 2 years. Especially since my Shane and Dave Core tats are all of my favorites. Wish Core was still there. Made an appointment a week in advance with Paul to get a birthday tattoo done for my sister and myself. The appointment was set for 5pm. Paul texted us at 1:30pm saying he had a cancellation and was available at 3pm. We weren't available right at 3pm but told him we would be in as soon as possible. Cancelled the previous plans we had with family to show up earlier then our scheduled appointment time for Paul's convenience. We arrived at Voodoo at 3:30pm and no one was there.
