Ikea Bayamon has the worst customer service. Apparently they are having issues with their system. I placed an order online, received an email after 24 hours that my order was ready for pickup. When I arrive to the location for pickup the cashier tells me that my order is not ready. I show her the email Ikea sent me that the order was ready for pickup and she refused to look at it. She kept on repeating like a broken record that I placed the order yesterday after 2:00pm, which was not true, and that I should receive a letter (what letter???), and it was going to be ready tomorrow. I told her this was not acceptable and she started screaming at me. I asked for the supervisor, the supervisor explained they are having issues with the system and that the owners of the Ikea Bayamon Franchise, who are Spaniards, ( don’t know how this is relevant to me as a customer) are not responding to their requests to fix the system ( again not my problem as a customer). He also told me they have a lot of complaints with Daco. Okaay. Is it hard to tell your employees to tell the customer that they are having issues with the system and they apologize for the inconvenience????? Imagine a customer from a farther municipality like let’s say Ponce purchasing from Ikea Bayamon and going through this!!!!! Ikea Bayamon is in dire need of customer service training. In the meantime I will take my business to the...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at IKEA in Bayamón. As a customer with mobility challenges, I expected a much higher level of accessibility and support—especially from a store that promotes itself as inclusive and customer-friendly.
After spending nearly $3,000 on heavy items, I was shocked to learn that no assistance was available to help load these materials into my vehicle. It is unacceptable that a store willing to take thousands of dollars from a customer cannot provide basic, reasonable support for those who are elderly, disabled, or simply unable to lift bulky items on their own.
This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a serious accessibility issue. Not everyone has someone to help them, and there should absolutely be policies in place to accommodate handicap customers and others who need physical assistance.
IKEA Bayamón needs to re-evaluate its customer service approach and consider the real needs of its diverse clientele. A business of this size and reputation should be...
Read moreHorrible service always. You always wait and wait. The scanner for the receipt never works, no one does anything to make the experience better. And then there’s the DOOR. Oh my god while you wait for eternity, while you wait for salvation that will never come, the automatic door opens and closes a million times — and it’s broken, so when it engages it sounds like a lawnmower starting inches from your head, and the blower to keep the flies out cranks up, roaring like a banshee in a hailstorm. There will be no...
