I'm being a tourist and I hate chain restaurants and haute fakery. I wanted a place with outdoor seating ambience and lots of local people. When I finally felt hungry this is what I found. Mainlander tourists with weird ideas about rhe rustic look or feel might find this place strange, but I've been around the world a bit and this looks a perfect good time. The menu consists of various combos of plantains and seafood, but there are land meats too. The menu is subtitled in English so just walk up. I buy food from this place 1 or 2 each month for at least 6 years and I gave them 3 and 4 stars. 1.5 month ago I buy some "marlin empanadillas" carry-out with some extra "mofongo", then when I get home I don't know what they gave me in the "empanadillas", it wasn't "marlin" I put the 4 "empanadillas" on trash can. Then 2 weeks later my girlfriend went to the place with the complaints and they gave her the correct "marlin empanadillas" with the correct order. Yesterday they do the same error with the "empanadillas" but the "empanadillas" smells rotten and the mofongos were hollow. I don't what happens in this place but I will not go to that...

My husband was very happy with his order: Chicharrón de Pollo with Mofongo. I order 2 empanadas de camarones. Though it was well seseasoned and the dough well cooked, there was very little filling.
