The worst experience I will never shop here. Customer service is absolutely horrible. They don't know how to communicate and dishonestly lead you to make a sale.
We purchased a pantry (about $2000 in value) took over 30 days to receive most parts and then the final parts we needed to complete the project...guest what...
They shipped it there, did not call or notify us they had it, then shipped or sold it, telling us we had to order those parts again and wait until they were shipped.
Mind you we made 3 trips to the distribution center at this point to pick up various parts of the order.
Sales person misled us Distribution rep misled us Phone rep misled us Manager did not want to deal with the issue
Guess what, you can have your furniture back
These boxes sat on the floor for 30 days - horrible experience, only good thing about here are the meatballs - the furniture is low quality, takes forever to setup, and they cannot even get the orders right.
Do not bother ordering items that they do not have in the store, because they will lie to you and you will never get them. They will make up some excuse about delivery, the port, or that they 'called you' -- they don't have their act together like in the United States. This is a poorly managed store, it looks pretty but the management feels like you have a bunch of teenagers running a large operation with no direction. Also, it is almost impossible to return anything so once you buy, keep it in the box and with the receipt like we did. With no receipt (even though they have the record) they will use it as an excuse not to let you return it. If it was opened, but not used, they will do the same thing. They want the revenue and do not value long-term client relationships. Total cash grab. Better option is going to Berrios or Rooms To Go, Pottery Barn, or Bassett - do not go to IKEA.

Read moreWorst Customer Service Experience at IKEA Bayamón, Puerto Rico
I recently spent over $5,000 on furniture and accessories at IKEA Bayamón, but my experience was utterly ruined when I tried to return two lamps worth $40. I explained that I had misplaced the receipt and had not received the email in their IKEA Family app. I had just purchased the lamps and asked them to please reprint my receipt, but my request was denied. I showed the manager all my other receipts and asked for an exception, requesting a gift card to use in the store since I needed to make more purchases.
I first spoke to Keysha, who was supposed to be a manager. She was incredibly rude and displayed zero customer service skills. When I asked to speak to a higher-up, they brought out a young man named Frank, who also claimed to be a manager. Frank refused to provide any information about a customer service manager or offer any help whatsoever.
When I asked to speak to an area manager or district manager, they decided to call security to escort me out of the store. As I was leaving, both managers and the security personnel mocked me, saying that I was making a fuss over a $40 refund after spending $5,000.
To make matters worse, I told them that I was going to take a picture of them and post it with a bad review, and the security guard thought it was funny to pose for the picture. I am including pictures of the incident and the individuals involved. It was extremely embarrassing for me to be treated this way. I can’t believe such a large corporation would employ staff with such a lack of competence.
This experience was highly disappointing and frustrating. IKEA Bayamón clearly does not value its customers or provide adequate training for its staff. I will think twice before...
Read moreDisappointed with IKEA's Kitchen Services and Return Policy
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with IKEA's kitchen services and their return policy. The entire process was plagued by poor communication, inefficiency, and what seems to be a complete lack of coordination among their staff and third-party vendors. It felt like there were just too many hands in the cookie jar, and no one really knew what was going on. You cannot communicate with the person/company installing the kitchen. Ikea’s staff’s turnaround time of communicating with us is also severely delayed. We have been trying to get our kitchen installed since we purchased it in July! We literally only have two sets of cabinets and the person installing the kitchen has had to come out three times and the kitchen is still not installed properly. * Adding an update that they have gone to the house now 5 times and the kitchen is not yet installed* DO NOT USE IKEA INSTALATION SERVICES. YOU WILL BE FRUSTRATED. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE.
Their return services are also terrible. When I tried to return some plates that I had bought, I was told I couldn’t because they were “used.” Apparently, simply opening the tape on the box to check if the plates were broken counted as using them. The tape was still intact, and the plates were untouched. I had only opened the box to ensure they were in good condition! It felt like the return staff was just making up reasons to avoid processing the return. I have made purchases and returns in the US with a lot less hassle.
I expected a lot more from IKEA, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll think twice before purchasing anything from them again.
As the saying goes - lo...
