First,
I usually have a really good visit. But on this particular visit, with the hygienist that was cleaning my teeth, I mentioned to her that I had a new job since the last visit. After working on my teeth for a half hour, she asked if the office had my new insurance information and I said no but I have a picture of my card and can give all the information when i check out. She was so concerned about the staff that she stopped cleaning my teeth half way through and told me i should find that information while she went and informed the front desk. She was gone for several minutes. It was as if me getting the front desk this information immediately was going to inconvenience the front desk and was a top priority. Or possibly have an impact on her own pay. It felt as if she was getting commissioned on the service??
Either way, my wife was waiting in the lobby for me so we could go shopping afterwards, and what usually takes about 45 minutes lasted an hour and a half. It wasn't a good time on my day off.
Second,
I have a partial that I have them clean every time I go in. They seem to get this partial immaculately cleam. Which I can never do with the antibacterial soap and toothbrush used they recommend to clean the partial. I asked the hygienist what they used to get the partial so clean and shiny. She said they have a solution. I then asked what the solution was so I could get some to clean my partial as clean as they get it. She did tell me that I could buy a jewelry cleaner machine that vibrates and to stick my partial in the ziploc bag with antibacterial soap and let it vibrate for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. And I said i thought tbere was a solution? And she said there is but I don't think you can buy it. As if this "solution " was some magical solution that only dentist can get??
I had to go online and search myself for cleaning agents for dental partials. Very odd that ONLY dentist can get this magical solution.
Anyway that's the quality of service I received...
Read moreSpeaking from the perspective of having a mortal fear of dentists from childhood experience, I am happy to give a terrific review of the staff at Beaumont Smile Center. I have been in their care for well over a decade and have had more than standard routine cleaning done. Dr. Cascio was always very calming and explained what he was doing, which was reassuring. Now I see Dr. Suh and she is amazing! She is gentle, very detail oriented, and her follow up is above all I have experienced. (She even called one night after my daughter had extractions, to see how she was doing and if she needed anything). The hygienists are so well trained (Brittany is very thorough and skilled, and keeps the conversation going so the time passes), and every member of the staff maintains continuing education and training (look on the walls) which is quite impressive. The ladies at the front desk are sooo funny! And they are very respectful. Wendi is cool to work with. She is so discreet with a patient's finances or financial situation, trying to find ways to make the services needed affordable, I just love her! Everyone I have met or talked to at this business has been very intent on making my visit and experience a pleasant one. I have since introduced both my sisters, other members of my family, both kids, and several others, who are very happy patients. Kudos and best wishes to Beaumont Smile Center, for bringing big city technology together with home town...
Read moreI’ve never been so dissatisfied with my service. What should have been a root canal, turned out to be a disaster. My dentist treated my for a “crack” in my molar and putting on a temporary crown. Several days later, I was in pain, returned, my dentist was on spring break so I was seen by another dentist in the same office. He took an X-ray, and immediately told me I needed a root canal. By the time a was seen by Dr Jeansonne, he took an X-ray, and also informed me a root canal was desperately needed. It turned out my root was inflamed too much that we discovered the hard way the anesthesia didn’t work. Two days later, back I go to get an anesthesia to put me under. All of this could have been avoided if I had been sent for a root canal in the first place, which were written in the dentists’s notes that I needed one. I was told by said dentist that the purpose of the other procedure was to save my tooth. Well, a root canal saves the tooth, too. Needless to say, I won’t be back. I have used Dr. Harrell for more that 40 years, and I surely miss him. I love the office staff at the Smile Center, but I shall...
