Market Basket — Local services in Beaumont

Today was the first time I have shopped at this Market Basket grocery store and when they say first impressions or everything that is a true statement!!!! This place overly exceeded their 1st impression on me. If I could give more stars, I would. First, I went to a different Market Basket and their water machine wasn't working, so that's why I came to this one (in which from now on, I will be shopping at this one) anyhow when I got here, they actually had a good water fill machine that filled fast compared to the other one I was shopping at. They were out of my microwavable pork skins, but the manager said she had some coming in later in the week and added a few more cases because I told her I buy them by the case. That right there is top-notch service. I don't know what the manager's name is, but she definitely is good at her job. Next, I wanna talk about the guy that was bagging groceries whose name is: ALVIN! While I was waiting on my water bottles to feel, I noticed ALVIN bagging someone's groceries. I immediately starting having a flashback of good memories of my grandmother. So I started reminiscing on when her and I used to go to Sacco's and Kroger. and a few other grocery stores back in the early 80s. As I watched Alvin sack someone's groceries, I noticed that he sacked the groceries like they used to sack groceries back in the day. He makes sure nothing is crushed, and he is fast! They way his poise was as he carefully swung each bag into the cart with grace and gentleness. It was as if he had been doing it for 50 yrs. There was just something about the way he was doing it that I literally could not quit flashing back to when me and my grandmother would go grocery shopping together. Then I seen him outside and I had to ask him his name. Tears began running down my face because I was feeling so sentimental about my grandmother. You just don't find workers that care anymore and the way he works definitely shows to all that he cares and that he is looking out for each customer. Market Basket is very blessed to have this worker. It may seem silly to some, but to me it was everything! I truly believe this man deserves some type of recognition and a raise. Dont ignore when you have a great employee. for me to go out of my way to post about someone's style and grace while working says a lot. Market Basket please recognize this man and reward him in some type of way. He definitely deserves it. I will definitely be shopping at this Market Basket from now on !!! They have gained my business NO DOUBT, mainly due to ALVIN!!! it almost makes me want to go there every day just to be able to reminisce about my grandmother while watching him work. Memories are all that we have of some of our loved ones and it's just a little thing sometimes that mean the most. And Alvin if you read this, keep doing what you're doing because you are not only doing a great job but you're also touching lives thank you seriously I can't thank you enough. Everything was great! Far as my overall experience, shopping today. Other than the older Caucasian bagger, guy broke my eggs!! Who in they right mind will grab eggs and slam them down! Not only that he did while slamming them down in the cart up side down! I was so shocked couldn't believe he actully did that!! How rude!! I actually said too him, hey don't slam my eggs like that u go break them! .... Get too my truck an guess what? EGGS ARE BROKE!! An i had too walk back in the store too change them. Unbelievably! Everytime I go into this market basket The food is expired the produce is rotten and nothing is fresh The meat is green and smells bad I found a cockroach in the freezer food it smells like mildew. The milk is always spoiled and the can goods look like they been there for years on how much dust and black little grits is on the top of them

We had a flood in the area and the store was flooded and I’m sure nothing was replaced due to the food or produce it’s sad

I hate going to this store i avoid it as much as I can and make an effort on going to a different market instead
