I have to say, I was pretty disappointed when I saw Clear Sky Cannabis's latest email promotion. I'm a big believer in honest and transparent customer feedback, and what they're doing really undermines that. They're offering a "HIGH SUPPLY 0.5g PRE-ROLL FOR 1¢" just for leaving a Google review. This isn't just a sneaky marketing trick; it's a clear violation of Google's policies, which are put in place to stop businesses from paying for good reviews. When I see a deal like this, it makes me question every review on their page. How can I trust that the reviews are real when people are getting a reward for leaving one? It hurts all of us as customers because we rely on those reviews to make smart choices. I really hope Clear Sky reconsiders this approach. They should be focused on earning great reviews the right way—with great products and great service. It's time for businesses to be held accountable and to champion a marketplace where transparency is what matters, not who's willing to manipulate the system.
Google takes this seriously. Businesses caught doing this could face some major consequences which include SUSPENSION of their Google Business Profile, which would pretty much make them invisible to new customers on Google Maps and search.
Google's policy on this is clear. Under the "Fake engagement" section, it directly bans:
"Content that has been posted due to an incentive offered by a business - such as payment, discounts, free goods and/or services."
They also explicitly tell businesses not to:
"Solicit or encourage the posting of content that does not represent a genuine experience. Offer incentives – such as payment, discounts, free goods and/or services - in exchange for posting any review or revision or removal of a negative review."
I wanted to leave a one star review, but gave an extra for having...
Read moreThe best prices around and they seem to update their menu a lot more than most dispensarys in the area. I wish they would open at 8 or 9am instead of 10 but that's not the end of the world. My only real complaint is that when I ask the bud tenders about specific strains they almost always say they've never tried them and just read off generic information about it being sativa/indica or high thc/low thc. The owners have to start giving these employees samples or something so they can have some knowledge on the product they are selling. I'm hesitant to spend 100$+ on an oz of weed when the bud tender is standing there telling me they don't know if it's any good or not. EDIT: I'm starting to think they don't let their budtenders try the bud because it's mostly junk. I've been disappointed with my last several purchases and today was probably the last time I'm going to be spending any money here. I bought the most expensive strain they had and it was 100% popcorn despite not being labeled popcorn, I'm talking buds the size of the nail on your pinky finger. And it had no flavor despite being labeled 3.5% terps. 3rd time in a row that I've bought bud from here that was supposedly over 2% terps and somehow tasted...
Read moreI have bought cannabis from this place multiple times, about twice a month for the past 8 months since my 21st birthday in April with absolutely no issues, my ID (state ID not a license) has always scanned correctly just as it has at other dispensaries, bars, and liquor stores.
Well today I went in as per usual, went through the first card scan, and as I was looking to buy something, the man behind the counter who I’ve never seen before in a very rude and condescending way announces to the store he thinks my ID is fake, even though HIS card scanner said it wasn’t, and HIS employees sold to me for months, and I’m sure they have my ID in a database of some sort because he went to check and then after 5 minutes told me he still believes it’s fake and to leave the store.
Not only was he extremely rude and condescending, asking me about specifics of the ID as if I’m some master counterfeiter in front of strangers and employees, he’s just plain WRONG, and I will be submitting a report to the better business bureau.
I suggest this store looks into who they hire and what equipment they use to determine if they are making a legal...
