If you’re looking for southern hospitality - keep walking! The food is great and the fudge is the best I’ve ever had...but watching the manager (owner?) berate and condescend his employees as we were ordering was not the small town charm we were looking for. It made for an incredibly uncomfortable experience, and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The two female employees looked incredibly embarrassed, and I felt horrible for them. The owner was also rude to me when I was simply trying to pay for our lunch. There is clearly a reason why this place was empty while there was a crowd and a wait just down the street at the cafe. I visit Bell Buckle a couple times a year and love the food at Bluebird, but I will never return to this place. Great customer service starts with great leadership! Read moreThe ice cream is wonderful. We loved this place until this past week when I took my mom who was in from out of town. The owner was there, which I had never seen him there before. He is the RUDEST person I've ever met and came off rather arrogant. When he asked my mom which cone she wanted she pointed and he said, "use your words!" We both were taken back a bit but ignored until he continued with his belittling remarks. Every time she tried to order he had something hateful to say. He kept asking her what she wanted and she kept replying but he just wasn't listening. She asked if she could get 2 different flavors with the double scoop or did it have to be the same. He essentially just dismissed my interest saying that there were older versions of what I was looking at in a store further down the street. He then went onto other tasks and when he asked if we were ready to check out I asked about the item again. He snapped at me stating that it was going to take him 30 minutes to move everything and that he had a catering order he was working on. I really was in disbelief at his attitude.
