I'm writing this review for two reasons: The quality furniture, both used and new, carried by Almost Perfect Furniture and Home Decor. The AMAZING service and professionalism that I received across the board from all of the staff.
I recently was visiting The Villages and purchased a house with no furniture in it. Since I also live in another state part of the year, I needed to furnish the house quickly.
I went to almost Perfect Furniture and, in one day (Because of a very knowledgeable and patient sales person), I was able to , furnish the house with the product offered. I bought some used product (In extremely good condition) as well as mattresses for two beds, a wicker set for an enclosed lanai and a faux wicker set for an outdoor lanai.
I passed papers on a Friday in May, purchased the furniture on Saturday and it was all delivered to me on a Monday.and I flew out on Tuesday, not to return until the following month.
Upon my return, I placed the lanai sets in their appropriate places. After approximately 3 weeks, I noticed that the pads on the wicker set was fading, even though it was supposed to be sun protective.
I went back to Almost Perfect, armed with photographs of the pieces when I purchased and what they looked like now. I was told by the manager not to worry and she would speak to the owner, who was currently away on a buying trip.
One week later, I received the call from the manager and she told me that I should come in whenever I'd like to find a replacement for the sun-damaged set. She went further by telling me that her employer called the furniture manufacturer about the issue and was told that they were not going to do anything about the damage. The owner discontinued their buying relationship with the manufacturer and said that they would take responsibility and replace the damaged set, on their own dime, dollar for dollar.
The end result is that I was able to pick out the replacement set, it was delivered at no charge and the damaged set was picked up.
This is what SUPERIOR service should be about. Whatever one is selling to the public should be backed up by the seller. Unfortunately, as is the case of the manufacturer, this was not true. However, the vendor in this case, Almost Perfect Furniture and Home Decor, understood the importance of great service and have now made a satisfied client for life and I will continue to relay this story to all that I know who are in the market for furniture.

Read moreAugust 2023 update: We have now looked at many furniture stores in the area. My initial review of Almost Perfect Furniture is still pretty much spot on. We spent more time walking through the now two buildings of Almost Perfect furniture. I will say that I didn't like being followed around the store. We want to shop and speak freely among ourselves. I do not care for the high pressure sales tactics of someone on top of you all the time like a bad rash. I can find the salesperson and ask questions if and when I have them. I will cut Almost Perfect Furniture a little slack on their prices. Although still high for what it is. There are other stores with what I would consider better quality furniture, asking higher prices yet. And some stores are asking extremely high prices for their products. You can find some lower priced items at Almost Perfect. But the lower cost is normally for a reason, from what I have seen. I have now purchased furniture at five different furniture stores in the general area recently, that had better quality and/or better prices. So my initial review, is pretty much still the same. Almost Perfect Furniture seems too expensive for what they are offering. And the sign on the door turns me off before I even walk in.
Original review from January 2023: I drove a fair distance to visit this establishment. They have a good amount of inventory in stock. The first thing I noticed is a sign saying something to the effect of "all sales final, no refunds". The furniture I looked at was not of the best quality compared to most furniture that I have now and have purchased in the past. Also, as I looked around I questioned the prices listed on the tags for both new and used furniture. Maybe these are the going prices. But I decided I am going to visit other furniture stores to compare the products, quality and prices. To me, the prices seemed extremely high. I could be wrong, but I can't just hand over that kind of money. I owe it to myself to check into this. I am not trying to trash this establishment. But I do have questions that make me uneasy. Read moreWe purchased a new dresser for our 6 year old little girl who was so excited because it had flowers as the knobs to open and they were pink and purple (her favorite colors). Upon purchasing the dresser the lady who took our money, quickly turned to another customer before we were finished to see about them. We let the lady know we would be back to pick it up within the two week period which is allowed before you get charged a storage fee. We came to pick it up within our two week period to only find they had sold it to someone else because the sales lady never placed a sold sign on it. So the dresser was sold twice. Now we are speaking with the extremely nice sales man who is upset that this happened so he calls the owner who neither acknowledges us nor shows any empathy that it was his employee who did not do their job but took our money. Instead he only speaks to the very nice sales man and acts as if we are not in the room. There was another white dresser that was nice as well and the owner neither asked us if we would like that one nor did he accommodate us in any way for the unfortunate sale of the dresser that we had already purchased. Feeling extremely disappointed as I refer this store to many of my customers. Not sure how I feel about referring business here anymore because I don't want them to get the same service. I hope this was just a bad day for them and not indicative of how they do business on a regular basis.
