While headed between Bend and Sisters with my friend, we decided to take a small detour and veer off of Highway 20 into the nice town of Tumalo. Having been down the highway hundreds of times and only ever really stopped at the Tumalo Country Store for gas and snacks and the Tumalo Feed Co. for the best Steaks in town, out of the corner of our eye we spotted the sign: Beyond The Ranch Antiques.
Man are we glad we dropped in! We noticed some really cool things outside, classic barn windows and doors, some cool yard and garden art and a sweet horse driven cart.
Step inside and WOW! There are all sorts of cool things to explore, find, and ideally find a special piece you would like to take home with you.
They have cool classic art pieces to hang on your wall, coat hangers, clothing and great cowboy hats, knives, horse riding gear and saddles, handmade stone jewelry and much much more! The nice person working behind the counter was great to talk to and very helpful and informative. She even let us know they have another location in Redmond with more space and double to triple the inventory. And let me tell you, this place was not shy on inventory and had an amazing selection of cool gems to spot and buy.
You can try to budget a quick stop in to this cool store, but donāt sell yourself short, there is a lot to see and a careful eye will have a load of fun things to enjoy.
I would say that you should definitely check out Beyond the Ranch Antiques for perfect place to scratch that itch when you have a love for antiques and fun stuff from our nationās past.
All in All my visit was rewarding and I will definitely be back again. I most definitely look forward to seeing what they have at their Redmond Location.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review and hope you have an amazing time hunting for fun things and āAntiquingā at Beyond the Ranch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI need to amend my original review; My husband stopped in to check things out. He is a person of color, ( Native American, he was actually a police officer the time), darker skin, black hair. He had been working on our property all day so he had jeans and a tshirt on. He was not greeted when he entered the store other than 'what do you need, what are you looking for? He stated he just wanted to look around. He was followed around the store the entire time and made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The person followed him around the store watching him until he exited the store.
I had previously gone with him and we were greeted upon entry and told to enjoy our time looking around and checking everything out. No one followed me/us at any point, ( I am caucasian).
We will never go back. DIscrimination is not acceptable...
