So here is an honest review from someone who has been coming here for nearly 10 years. I usually don't post reviews but I feel the need to for this place now that it has new ownership and because pisano's is a place near and dear to my heart. This'll be kind of long. My wife and I ordered the Buffalo wings, Tuscan wings and the filet pizza. To start, the service and atmosphere inside felt better and more lively since the new ownership. The wings we got were good, however, for some reason they really skimped on the sauce.. like we got dry wings with a little squirt of sauce on it. They came with a complementary side of their (new) homemade ranch, which is good but i'd rather have the saucy wings that im used to. They say that all the recipes are the same, and, it could have been an off night but the pizza was pretty different than what we were used to. Again, pretty good, but it was.. off. Our pizzas were very light on the toppings. Hardly any onions or wine reduction sauce and the crust was on the under-cooked side. The beers and cheesecake were (expectedly) the same but overall, it was ok. I will come here again because I dont want to accept that this place became worse. Overall, it was good, not great. When I came here previously, everytime we ordered, it was always the best and I never cared how much the bill was. This time around, I did care. I felt like the $100 (including tip) my wife and I payed was not worth the meal we got because of how everything seemed skimped on and not as good quality as we were used to. I used to refer to pisanos as the "best pizza place I've ever been to" where I went out of my way to bring friends and family to share the experience in. but now, I might have to retract that. We'll see if this is the new norm. Which if it is, I'd say if you are a newcomer passing through, try it out and see what you think. If you're someone like me who has grown to love pisano's over the years and is expecting the same quality you are used to, I'd say, at least as of now, dont bother and try somewhere new, like the foodcarts across the street. Because you'll just be...
Read moreFirst of all we have been to this establishment a couple of times since we moved to Bend, and I remember telling my brother that this was the best pizza I've enjoyed since we were at one of the highest rated pizza restaurants near Wall St. in New York City! I went to write in my review today about the quality of the pizza, and I noticed these terrible reviews recently regarding the owner. First, I truly want everyone to know that I have no skin in the game as I'm writing this. We were one of the groups in the building that evening when this all went down As it was all playing out we talked quietly to our selves about how out of control this event was. We were actually up set with the owner thinking the event must be friends of people he invited. We were puzzled that a business owner would let a group of people take over their restaurant the way they did with no regard to the rest of the paying customers. It seemed like some kind of arts and crafts event with young children. It quickly came to our attention that the adults in this group let things get completely out of control. The owner walked over and asked for some sense of respect for the rest of us in a respectful way when the adults that were with the kids FLIPPED OUT!!! They started yelling and cursing! Dropping the F bomb in front of the children and suggesting that they were part of some group and they were going to take him down. This is what I saw, and I feel people need to read this...
Read moreWe went on a Thursday night. Had the $16 Thursday night, special lasagna. It came with a cute little piece of garlic bread. I would say that my rating is higher than the reality but I really did like it. It’s a very popular place and we did go on a night where they had a good deal. We were able to find parking right in front. We did have to wait a little bit, but they brought wine. They had a few chairs by the door to wait. Plenty of outside seating, but it was windy and cold. It was a nice atmosphere with art that was for sale all over the walls and a very huge cool bar area. The proprietor was all around the restaurant helping people and talking. The wait staff was a very helpful. The bathroom was very clean. It was fun to watch them make the pizza while you waited. I would say that the wait was a little bit longer than expected for the lasagna because it’s premade. It should’ve been a little faster but overall we enjoyed it, and we were not in a hurry. I ordered a soda and it came out in a plastic cup, which is not my favorite. The water was served in glass. After I had one soda, they brought me another one, but it was all syrup and no fizz. And then I didn’t get another one right away but whatever. The only complaint I have is the plastic glasses that the sodas are served in. That’s a pretty minuscule complaint to have at such an awesome place. I really enjoyed the place. It’s obviously very popular. They even had gelato. It seems like a...
