I don’t usually write car dealership reviews, but my experience with John at Bay Area Auto Empire truly stood out.
Right from the start, I felt like I could completely trust John. He was clear, transparent, and refreshingly non-salesy — just straightforward and authentic. His focus wasn’t on pushing a sale, but on making sure I found the right car and felt comfortable with my decision.
I was buying this car for my daughter, and John went above and beyond to make the process easy and reassuring. I had the car independently inspected, and the report came back very strong — the vehicle looked great with only a few minor items noted.
Throughout the entire process, John was flexible and accommodating. He coordinated getting the car to and from the automotive shop for inspection, worked around my schedule since I live 30 minutes away, and even made the payment and pickup logistics simple and stress-free.
It honestly felt like I was buying a car from a family member, not a dealer. That level of honesty, patience, and professionalism is rare in the used car world.
I highly recommend working with John and Bay Area Auto Empire. It was a five-star experience from start to finish, and I’d absolutely buy...

Legally it needed to have been replaced by the dealership before the car was put up for sale because it’s a serious safety issue. I didn’t confirm with the dealer if he replaced it. Normally I wouldn’t leave a review somewhere where I didn’t purchase anything, but I keep feeling anxious that if somebody else bought an unsafe vehicle and was in a collision, your death would be on me too. Hopefully, the dealer did just slip up and fixed the seatbelt when I informed him of the issue, which is why I’m giving benefit of the doubt and leaving three stars. And, if you bought the vehicle, hopefully you can ensure the...
