GIANT — Local services in Benner Township

The Giant in Bellefonte is so much worse than the ones in State College. They frequently run out of stock on items that are sale, and the employees there are pretty rude if you try to get a rain check. If you order from Giant Direct, be very careful. If something is out of stock, they will replace it will something expensive that is not on sale unless you select 'do not substitute', and if something is part of a bundle where you need to purchase a set amount of items to get a special, you will get charged full price for everything if one item is out of stock. The website frequently claims items are in stock when they are actually sold out, which is very frustrating. The store is also just dirty. Today I was there and there were large puddles here and there throughout the store on the floor. There are multiple times where I've encountered raw meat just left out on a regular non-refridgerated shelf. It leaves the impression that the people who work there...

This is about the donuts in the bakery. Your donuts are not consistent with the other stores in State College on North and South Atherton. The stores on North and South Atherton fry and make their own donuts which tastes 100% better than this store. I purchased a half a dozen donuts from the store because I wasn't able to make it up to the South Atherton store and I returned them after eating one because not only does it taste stale it has a bitter aftertaste, because you don't make your donuts.They're either a pre-made donut or pre-frozen who knows where it's been made or how long it's been frozen or sitting donut. And you have a third less selection than the other stores. I don't care what your excuses are.I expected the same quality and taste and selection at this store that I received at the South Atherton store. I will continue shopping at Giant but not at this store I will be going to the South...

I’ve tried so hard to love this Giant. So far, the milk, Cole slaw, pork chops Ive purchased were bad with a week to 10 days expiration date.I got so sick off the oven roaster I just bought. The turkey in the hoagie I bought months ago was bad, could taste it immediately. I’ve called twice now to report this. Tonight, Easter, was it for me. Marinated a beautiful pork roast all day, had company for dinner, was horrible, threw the entire roast in the trash! Was dry, tasteless, and tough. I’m done. Called the manager after getting sick from the oven roaster and he assured me things were being done properly and could come in for a refund but didn’t seem concerned at all.
